Leeds Pre Match - It won't be an easy game

Grim 1-0 to either team. We tend to score, by hook or by crook, so I dare say it's more likely to be us that win. I hope so.

Nothing to fear here. The ground will be half empty (thanks sky) and if we continue to play how we have been doing they will fold.

I think their fans will be on their backs after the first 10 mins and we will have too much for them.

A premier league ref won't stand their dirty tactics and I'll be surprised if they finish with 11 men on the pitch.

3-1 victory for us, knocky, nuge and vardy, McCormack for them with a late consolation.

Perhaps the only games left this season in which I'd take a draw are Burnley A and QPR H. That's not because I don't think we're capable of winning, just that it would prevent a direct 3 point gain.

I fear this will be tough. Leeds more resilient after a shambles last week. Hopefully we don't let complacency creep in after a great performance last week. We also have a couple of new signing to freshen it up if need be. I'll go for Leeds 1-2 Leicester.

NP: "@LUFC coming off a difficult game last week so expect a response." Konchesky, Wood both available. Phillips travels. #lufcvlcfc

Phillips and Mahrez in squad to travel to Leeds. Wood and Konchesky ok. Slight doubt over Miquel. #lcfc

Nigel Pearson confirms Bakayogo heading to Yeovil on loan. He's not expecting to bring in anymore new faces before end of window. #lcfc

Think we'll need to weather a fast start but if we do that we'll be fine.

Big pressure on Leeds to perform tomorrow - hopefully we get a good start.

My belief now is that our first XI play to their potential then most opposition in the championship won't stand a chance. Our first XI could have a bad day at the office and slip up so I'm mentally ready for that as well. But I'm feeling that the boys (who were on fire last Friday) will continue their great run, maybe not as comprehensively as the sheep but still dispatch sorry Leeds with maybe a solid 2-0

Win this 7pts clear even if only for a couple of hours.

But it really puts pressure on burnley and qpr they have to win.

Take a hard fought 1-0 myself.

Losing against them wouldn't be the end of the world we would still be top however that is the worst case scenario lol , NP won't let them be complacent he will have done his homework Leeds need to come out and attack us. If we get the first goal I can see the floodgates opening it could be a big scoreline for us.

Logan, Wasyl, King, Hammond, Mahrez, Wood, Phillips

If fit, your team picks itself right now. Subs will include cover at left-back if Konch is a worry. Expect Schlupp or Miquel to feature. Not sure if KP will make the bench after protracted deal.

The thing to remember is that Leeds away is usually a difficult fixture. If we lose tomorrow, it's NOT necessarily the start of some horrible run of form that will see us finishing mid table lol.

It's but one game and we'd look to bounce back and win the next one. There are tons of games left and probably lots more twists and turns before we see how the table is really gonna look.

If we lose tomorrow, chins up and look forward to the next game. Personally, a draw away at Elland Road, for me, is a good result.

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has warned that Leeds United will make it difficult for his team when they travel to Elland Road in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday.
The high-flying Foxes have won five on the bounce in the league, while in contrast, Brian McDermott’s Leeds are going into the match on the back of four consecutive defeats.

The most recent of those was a 6-0 defeat with 10 men to Sheffield Wednesday, but Pearson is in no doubt about the quality that the Yorkshire side have and knows his team will have to be at their best to maintain their four-point lead over Burnley.

“We’ll play sides that do make it more difficult for us and we play a side at the weekend that I think we’ve got to be aware will be going into it with an approach that will test us,†Pearson told Foxes Player before training on Friday.

“We’ve got to be up for the game and make sure that our standards are close to the standards they have been at in the last couple of weeks.

“I think our form has been pretty good since mid-December and hopefully we can keep that going now. We’ve had some very good spells in the past and last season, but we’re trying to achieve this season’s goals, and if we do that playing good football then great, but it’s about achieving our goals.†

Pearson’s Leicester City squad has been bolstered this past week with the additions of two new players – winger Riyad Mahrez and veteran striker Kevin Phillips, who the manager was delighted to have on board.

He declared: “He’s keen to play a part in the remainder of the season for us. I’m very pleased to have him here because he brings a vast amount of experience and quality.

“Forget the number that is associated with his age, it’s about the quality that he possesses. Beyond that (Phillips’ playing days), I would like to introduce him to the coaching side of the Club at a later date.

“We have spoken about that but for this season he wants to concentrate on playing and he’ll be travelling with the squad [to Leeds].†

On the addition of Mahrez, Pearson added: “Riyad doesn’t speak as much English as Anthony [Knockaert] does at the moment, but he’s a quick learner.

“He’s had a few days to observe how the players and how we work now. He’s a quiet character, but we’ve seen some real flashes of quality in training and I’m sure he’ll have a positive impact on the season.

“He’s in the squad for tomorrow and it’s important for him to have that settling in period where he can see how we work and what’s expected.â€
