Here's a funny one.

I registered on the LTLF Forest Forum yesterday, largely because I wanted to ask why there were so many posts about Jack Hobbs - nearly 3000 at the last count since the beginning of January, FFS. I noticed that our very own Babylon was posting: his posts were polite but, as he would doubtless acknowledge, they were intended to wind them up. One Forest poster called Flagman (I think a forum administrator) took very strong exception to one of Babylon's posts about club finances, and trotted out the usual gobshite about how we defrauded suppliers in order to get promoted back in 2002-3 and how any team that bought promotion in that dishonest way should be lined up against a wall and shot (a slight exaggeration for effect there - well, I am a writer - but you get the idea).

I wrote a post - my only one - saying that what Flagman had written was inaccurate in several particulars, and that I would write a detailed (and polite) response this morning. I didn't want to do it last night because I had enjoyed three or four glasses of our local red listening to Stringer and Young's entirely unbiased RL commentary. However, when I came to write my response today, I found that I have been banned for life from the Forest Forum, with no opportunity to appeal. I wrote to both the Forest Forum team and their webmaster (again, politely) and got a bounce-back: I have become an unperson.

I'm a member of fans' forums for several different clubs, but this is the first time I have been banned. I wonder what makes the Forest Forum so touchy. Are they still smarting over AK's matchwinning performance at the end of last season?

Flagman = Billy Davies

Deranged, overly sensitive, clearly enjoys the power he has and a little psychotic! Makes sense to me!

Ltlf has just had a bit of a purge of users after some rather tedious and seemingly endless bickering. There's every chance whilst the mod had his ban hammer out he applied it somewhat more liberally then he would normally.

In any case, you're not missing much. It's mostly taken up with whoever the current scapegoat player is getting a slagging until he plays well. At which time he's always been brilliant. Calling Steve Bruce all sorts of names and transfer nonsense. The general consensus regarding Leicester seems to be you'll go up quite comfortably.

Reading over his posts, I think you may well be correct.

Don't wast your precious time, their minds are made up. Half of them don't even seem to understand finances and the processes involved.

I only posted financial stuff to correct the crap they were writing about out current finances, flagman the mighty keyboard warrior then decided to bring up administration and blame me for bringing up finances.

I only started to try and wind them up when it was clear they had no intention of taking anything I said on board.

I enjoyed your posts enormously, especially as they were (like the single one that I posted) polite and well-reasoned. The rage they caused was wondrous to behold.

Incidentally, that Hobbs topic now has over 3000 posts. WTF?

Accoring to some Forest fans they are bemoaning their luck with injuries saying ' how come we get so many bad injuries this season'.  But surely they have the best squad in the division so it should metter to them no matter im sure King Billy will sort it ;)

Of course European Champions should be well equipped.

What a day for Forest.

Reveal a white and blue third kit.

Issued a winding up order to be heard on Monday.

Only club to miss a Football League meeting this week.

But don't worry their owner is excellent, he's a competent and professional person.

It was withdrawn as the matter was dealt with ages ago.

For those asking #nffc won't be in court on Monday. They had been issued with a winding up petition, but the issue has been settled.

The petition had been issued by Impact Sports Management Ltd. They have subsequently confirmed that the situation has been resolved #nffc

It is not as dramatic or bad as it might sound. Winding up orders are frequently used in this manner #nffc

Wouldn't have mentioned it myself unless a few fans had been asking about it #nffc

Sick oh hearing about their long unbeaten run, bore off Forest how many draws in that run?

Yeah I agree, 6 draws.

Said it before that on East Midlands today they always seem to say "Leicester dropped points" when we draw, but it's a "good draw for Nottingham Forest" when they get one.

I can assure you, most of our draws have been snatched from the jaws of victory as we sit back on a 1-0 far too much.

Just noticed that the Florists are planning a Fawaz Day in honour of their Kuwaiti owner at Huddersfield tonight.

Funny because here's me thinking that they once sang to us "You used to be English, you're not anymore". Blimey what a strange hypocritical bunch they are considering they had a pop at us being owned by Thais

Maybe they'll all sing a rousing version of 'we used to be English, we're not anymore'.

Or, as is more likely, they won't because they're a bunch of racist hypocrites who haven't even got the integrity to stand by their backwards views when some foreigner comes along with a bit of money for them. Who knew you could buy tolerance?
