The Year Of The Fox

Starting to believe?

I dont agree.

Pearson HAS learnt from his mistakes. Look at the signings he's made this season compared to last.

The 4-3-3 with Kane and Wood was shite. Now both GTF and Phillips fit very nicely into our best formation. Pearson made errors last season. I think he's learnt from them and improved us in all the right ways.

Perhaps the main one was dropping King for James. This has made a huge difference.

Different things Col. I didn't see how he could improve the situation using the same players. I expected us to be better because of the familiarity with each other, but Pearson has took it to another level this season

One game at a time for me nineteen to go. It could still go horribly wrong, yet. I think Radio Leicester need to calm down a bit too. We ain't promoted yet.

19 games is a lot. But keep winning and the average points required for the autos in previous seasons soon gets closer

Great post as always, I've not always been a Pearson fan as I felt he wasn't really playing his favoured style when he returned and reverted to defensive type, when things went wrong from the end of Jan last season. I think he has really proved me wrong and has shown more dimensions and depth in his tactics than I beloved he had in his locker. I'm not sure if I was very wrong or he has improved massively, or maybe a bit of both. Either way the squad has some excellent variety, experience and character in it.

We are not over the line yet and they're maybe a few dips, twist and turns but I am definately starting to believe in him, the players and the club again for the first time in over a decade.

Fantastic result again today but one game at a time still please ;)

This, good post

If we average a point a game from now to the end of the season we'll finish on the same number of points as Hull did last year. I know it's looking like it'll be a lot tougher this year, but I can't help but believe when I find out things like that.

To be only 8 points off our total from last season with 19 games left is incredible. Huge credit must go to the owners for sticking with the manager during the summer.

Also massive credit to Nigel Pearson his staff & the players. I didn't go into this season with much hope but the way they've performed this season has been brilliant. I really do think this squad has got what it takes to go all the way this year, long may it continue.

I'm getting excited, but Leicester always make me worry.im getting impotent for the end of the season already as I have that feeling.

Crap fact.Did you know we had 60pts after 41 games last season.

Really? Thats one hell of a thing to admit on here mate!

Someone has to fall away soon don't they?

This result puts enormous pressure on the chasing pack.

According to the whingers on the Burnley and QPR forums we are only top because-

We have the rub of the green (we are so lucky)

We get lots of penalties (there must be some cheating going on)

We score late goals (it's not fair)

We are yet to have a bad run (we will crumble when we do)

Their whinging shows they are getting worried about us, we make our own luck, score late goals and win penalties by erm, what's the word I am looking for, ah yes attacking!

I am sure we will lose games and may have a bad run, but so will QPR and Burnley, a point that some of their posters on their forums seem to overlook.

30 more points needed for a top 2 finish, I would take 9 wins 3 draws which allows us 7 defeats in our last 19 games.

Gonna wait until the fat lady has shut up.

The fat lady has been singing since August. Too many pessimists .Its all very simple.believe, believe.

Live the dream, because May will soon be on us, enjoy the belief, not 'the oh shit what happens if', or 'the yeh but last year'

If anyone was going to take us Nige would be the man, I have always believed that, best manager we've had in year albeit not that much of an acheivement when you consider who we've had in charge, but in all seriousness he's in the top 3 (Top 2 probably really) in my time as a Leicester fan.

I am starting to believe, I've believed all season really, i'm getting excited, more confident, but i'm not getting too ahead of myself, anyone who thinks the job is done is stupid, I'm a Leicester fan and i've seen it all before, however it's becoming "our's to lose".

Matt,

And everyone else who is optimistic with caution.  That is fair enough.  But to say we are Leicester and we have seen it before, that is just not right.  This team is creating records.  7 straight wins 8 points clear of 2nd and 9 of 3rd (it doesn't matter they have a game in hand, as they could lose it).  2nd and 3rd play next week so puts one of them further out of auto.

So please tell me when you have seen this before and we have failed?  None of us have seen this before from LCFC.

The year we last were promoted to the PL was when Portsmouth and us in 2nd place ran away from the rest.

I would love to here of this previous failed experience other than last years bad run.

It would be almost unprecedented for a team at this time of the year leading by what we leading by not get promotion.

Can someone tell me who would be the example?  If not, sit back and enjoy the ride to the promised land!!

It's going to happen.

There's no way we're losing more than 9 of the remaining 19 games.

Won't happen.

The longer this season goes on, the more likely it is that teams will struggle to understand how to cope with us. Predictable we are not.

NP has learnt from his mistakes last season, it's obvious for all to see.
