The Year Of The Fox

Starting to believe?

I've always been a Pearson fan and have never doubted him. However that doesn't mean to say I thought he'd take us up. We're Leicester and like it or not we do things the hard way- if at all.

Although the QPR result was brilliant I didn't get carried away. Likewise with thrashing derby. The last two games though have converted me from hope to almost expectation. We deserved nothing at Leeds and tonight really didn't suit our play. When we missed the penalty I thought they'd go up and equalise and that'd be it.

I'm not getting carried away on tje points gap, that could be down to 5 on Tuesday and it'll only take a defeat- which will happen- to be back in the mix. But we're showing so much more strength in depth and resilience this season I can't hrlp thinking this could be The Yesr Of The Fox!

We're clearly good enough to do it, whether we do or not is another matter. This is Leicester after all. But the team is excellent and I'd be thoroughly disappointed if we don't go end up in the top 2.

If anyone was going to take us Nige would be the man, I have always believed that, best manager we've had in year albeit not that much of an acheivement when you consider who we've had in charge, but in all seriousness he's in the top 3 (Top 2 probably really) in my time as a Leicester fan.

I am starting to believe, I've believed all season really, i'm getting excited, more confident, but i'm not getting too ahead of myself, anyone who thinks the job is done is stupid, I'm a Leicester fan and i've seen it all before, however it's becoming "our's to lose".

I like the way they can unpick the opposition and fathom out a way to beat what is in front of them. Whilst I know our run will end, I have confidence in this team to get the better of any opponents in this league.

I've said it before...if we Dont do it this year we never will.

By the way...a friend of mine who works at the club has stated" The players' confidence is MASSIVE!"They will NOT **** this up.

FACTOID!!!

I feel like this is what it must've been like when Man Utd were winning all the time no matter how they played and how everyone apart from Man Utd fans hated it.

Same

it means more now than it did before. in '96 i was 9 years old. i'll never forget that Claridge slow mo goal, i'll never forget my dad explaining to me why MON was bringing on a sub keeper and i'll never forget the cheer when Walshy lifted the play off trophy. it will have been 11 years since our last escapade in the top flight and i believe that is the longest stint in the clubs history.

it's been too long. it means so much now. bring it on. THE LEICESTER THE LEICESTER!

I cried when we got awarded that pen last year v Watford. Ironically I cried about 60 seconds after the pen too.

i was stood on a table in Walkabout. everyone was jumping around like loons and i froze, partly cos two weeks previous i had done my knee ligaments and sudden movement would have messed me up so if anything Knocky not scoring that goal did me a huge favour as i'd have gone down like a sack of shit

I'm getting excited, but Leicester always make me worry.im getting impatient for the end of the season already as I have that feeling.

Crap fact.Did you know we had 60pts after 41 games last season.

its hardly a crap fact mate.

it just shows how far we've come since then, regardless of what happens come May.

Of course we can **** it up still, only we could. But with every game I'm beginning to wonder

Even if we have a blip we have players that can come in and do a job there's no reason not to be excited, the Blues are Going Up!

I didn't think we had players on the bench last season that couldn't sort it out. Its a fine line. We've only added a bit of experience to the squad as well as the continuity from last season. I'd rather have the above though than anything else

Great post as always, I've not always been a Pearson fan as I felt he wasn't really playing his favoured style when he returned and reverted to defensive type, when things went wrong from the end of Jan last season. I think he has really proved me wrong and has shown more dimensions and depth in his tactics than I beloved he had in his locker. I'm not sure if I was very wrong or he has improved massively, or maybe a bit of both. Either way the squad has some excellent variety, experience and character in it.

We are not over the line yet and they're maybe a few dips, twist and turns but I am definately starting to believe in him, the players and the club again for the first time in over a decade.

Fantastic result again today but one game at a time still please ;)

I've never had a problem with last season's tactics or his formation style etc. I wasn't even looking for him to improve (just the players performances) but he's gone beyond anyones expectations so far.

Like I say we could so easily **** this up and I genuinely go into every game expecting to lose such is my mentality about thr club lol

I dont agree.

Pearson HAS learnt from his mistakes. Look at the signings he's made this season compared to last.

The 4-3-3 with Kane and Wood was shite. Now both GTF and Phillips fit very nicely into our best formation. Pearson made errors last season. I think he's learnt from them and improved us in all the right ways.

Perhaps the main one was dropping King for James. This has made a huge difference.
