foxfanazer Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Interesting stuff We've probably got the hardest remaining fixtures of this sort imo
harpendenfox Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 top work claret, especially as QPR travel to Derby next Monday night. I think we can agree that a draw would favour us both
StanSP Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 I remember thinking last year we had the toughest run of fixtures and we came out of that okay. From memory drawing 1-1 with Brighton, beating Bolton 3-2, beating Forest 3-2. I think, and I'm glad for this, that our squad thrive on these challenges. It's one of the reasons we've built such a gap. We don't fear teams any more. They fear us in the main. Maybe it's just the sheer confidence that has erupted because of our run, but I can't wait to play those 4 teams around us as well as the rest of the teams left. And looking at it as a whole, it makes the 'run-in' a lot more interesting. It's not like one team plays bottom half teams for the majority of the rest of the season. Every team has a few challenging fixtures left.
StanSP Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Also noticed that Burnley/QPR have the same. Forest/Reading have the same. Us/Derby have the same. But then this doesn't take in to account the other teams that could be challenging later on in the season - teams like Ipswich and Brighton.
StanSP Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Oh and obviously a very minor detail - we beat Derby 1-0 in the League and not 2-1 as mentioned in the original post; that was in the cup
Babylon Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 I think we can agree that a draw would favour us both Some Rodney will say it's better for QPR to win no doubt.
Manwell Pablo Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Some Rodney will say it's better for QPR to win no doubt.
Dan Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Derby having 0-0-6 is very telling and for me it's why they won't go up.
Dan Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Interesting stuff We've probably got the hardest remaining fixtures of this sort imo Agree. We traditionally struggle at Forest & Reading as well, and Burnley ain't lost at home all season.
Churchill Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Agree. We traditionally struggle at Forest & Reading as well, and Burnley ain't lost at home all season. Neither had QPR untill we turned up.
Dan Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Neither had QPR untill we turned up. Oh aye. There's no fixture in this league I go into thinking we can't win although I must admit Forest away is going to test that one. I don't think they're a better side than us either.
Carl the Llama Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Derby having 0-0-6 is very telling and for me it's why they won't go up. Makes the article by that blogger who thought Derby would be more likely to do well in the Prem than us look even more ridiculous than it already did.
ealingfox Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Predictions: Forest 2-2 Leicester Burnley 1-1 Leicester Reading 0-1 Leicester Leicester 3-0 QPR
Happy Fox Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Predictions: Forest 1-2 Leicester Burnley 0-1 Leicester Reading 2-2 Leicester Leicester 3-1 QPR
Dan Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Makes the article by that blogger who thought Derby would be more likely to do well in the Prem than us look even more ridiculous than it already did. It's just idiots who blatantly don't watch Championship football talking shit to provoke a reaction. I don't know if it happens in all countries but it really is sad that people actually praise appalling journalism 'because it got a reaction'.
ScouseFox Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 If we win at Reading this will officially be the best season ever
foxfanazer Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Predictions: Forest 2-2 Leicester Burnley 2-3Leicester Reading 2-1 Leicester Leicester 3-1 QPR
One Legged Beaver Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Predictions: Forest 2-3 Leicester (Knockaert 94th minute winner) Burnley 1-2 Leicester Reading 2-0 Leicester Leicester 2-0 QPR
StanSP Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Predictions: Forest 1-1 Leicester Burnley 1-2 Leicester Reading 2-1 Leicester (bogey ground!) Leicester 2-1 QPR
foxfanazer Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 7 points from those 4 fixtures would represent a good return
deanolegend1989 Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 Readings a bogey ground for us, when did we last win there in the league? Am I right in thinking a 3-1 win with a Dickov brace in 02/03? Good omen? We were promoted, they were battling in the playoffs.. Forest 2-2 that season, and I would not be suprised if that happens again ..again they were battling for the playoffs!
