lgfualol Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 Because it was a bad day n emotional n it still affects people. Your fans acting as though they're poor lil Watford with class players all signed up for free from Udinese and everyone is cheating but them. Clearly better players than ours. Those 32 points seperating us dont mean anything.
Langston Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 Also, as for any Watford gooch-dwellers arguing that our squad "isn't that good" or "is average" - cream ****ing rises you cretins.
ScouseFox Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 I like the one who argues we don't have much strength in depth. We really do. All over the pitch. Moore's injured so we bring in someone with Champions League and International experience and he slots in beautifully. Wood's been injured most the season and nobody has barely even noticed because we've had Vardy an Nuge smashing it. Swansea, of the Premier League, just tried to buy Schlupp, a player who can't even make our 18. I could go on and on, King's not had much of a look in of late and he's a very good Championship midfielder, Kevin Phillips coming off the bench, Mahrez looks like he could be right lively off the bench if anyone needs a rest on the wing. I'm not gonna comment on Watford's squad cos I ain't got a clue about it because they're an irrelevant bottom half Championship side who haven't looked like challenging us at any stage this year and I've only seen play twice and they got absolutely ripped apart both times. But they are better than us, obviously.
deanolegend1989 Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 Our team vs Watford: Kasper De Laet Morgan Keane Schlupp Knocky James King Dyer Nugent Wood Vardy, Drinky, Moore & Konchesky = differences. Drinky 1 of the top 3 players of the season, Vardy the same. Moore a premiership quality centre half in the making, much better than Keane. Konch lacks pace but experience and class sees through, Schlupp struggled vs Anya. We are alot better, not only as a team but individually. Only subtle changes can change everything, look at Liverpool, 1 season the best team in the prem(should of won it) next season JUST Alonso/Arbeloa swapped for Johnson(argubly 'better' individually) and Aqualiani. Who would of thought a 7th place finish and nowhere near the title let alone top 4? The panellists Merson, Le Tiss, Jeff etc all put Liverpool either for the title or at least top 4. My point is 1-3 players difference can make a major difference. I see Watford this happening as Vydra & Abdi were, not in hindsight but what I felt at the time, the 2 danger men. You can see why they are struggling. Towards the comments that Leicester are tin pot just make me laugh. We all know what we are, a decent above average semi big club. People will joke about tinpot because we arnt a Liverpool or Arsenal but then when clubs like tinpotford say this it is a bit like a size 20 woman saying to a size 12 woman 'god your fat'. Rookery seems a decent fan, not sure why hes getting critisism. I have no problem with Watford as a whole, the way they celebrated(Id of done the same), the loanees system isnt great or particuly fair but not like the fans have power anymore etc etc. The only things I find funny is comments like 'Id rather have Deeneys goal than be top now' Its just a bit pathetic and they arnt fooling anyone but I suppose can you blame them when they have done nothing for years and even when they did they get embarresed in the Premier League? IMO this is the reason they are so cocky at the minute as with their new owners I do think it will happen sooner or later. A bit like us in terms of ever since we have been take over Ive felt itll happen 1 day. Like I said last season 'stick with pearson and itll happen' if it fails this season(which it did), itll happen next season. If it fails next season, itll happen in 14-15. Simple as that. We didnt get rid and this is whats happened, im not suprised what so ever and think this is why they are so c*k sure. It is diff compared to us in 04-08 we literally had no hope - 4 seasons(184 games) of total rubbish and no excitement.
CKB Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 ...birds suddenly appear...every time you are near.? OI! get ya own song....

In which case I must have imagined Wood missing about half the season so far, Vardy being out for about a month, Moore being projected to be out for six weeks and De Laet missing six weeks. It's only because the players that have come in have done such a magnificent job that it appears so seamless.
Ashley Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 I'm almost certain that it was played. Was played.
cjslcfc Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 As someone said, we did play the 3-2 video before the Forest game earlier in the season. However, we always play a video of the most recent meeting where we won or a classic game between the two sides who are playing, where we won that game as well (I believe before the Derby match we played the Derby thrashing where we scored 4 headers in a short space of time at the start of the game - I know there's lots of thrashings to think about!). So it's not like we deliberately did it to wind them up, which was the case for Watford vs us at their place this season.
Craig Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 I demand that Filbert visits the City Ground in a couple of weeks to recreate Knocky's goal.
Super_horns Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 Got nothing against Watford personally, there's no rivalry of any kind imo, the only thing that gets on my nerves is how certain fans still bang on about the goal because you didn't go on to win promotion. That's partly why in a way - after all there is nothing to remember too fondly about our trip to Wembley afterwards sadly. I suspect had we won at Wembley against Palace we'd probably be winding up Palace and Holloway after his comments earlier in the season. Probably doesn't help we haven't go any REAL rivals to go and bother. Anyway you're having the last laugh... As for the PA guy - well I agree he likes the sound of his own voice hence the shouting and chanting.
cityfanlee23 Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 So much has happened since then, Look where the two clubs are, and we still had to win the final, Try and watch it from a neutral point of view... What and absolutely extraordinary football match, one of the true greats in history? The timing, The dive, The penalty miss, The second miss, The counter, the goal, the atmosphere. ELECTRIC. To say we were part of it is hard, however I think justice was served. Tell me this was not an amazing match? From a watford point of view, we got what we deserved as knockaert nearly dived us into the final anyway. Truly astonishing. Great scenes for watford fans, and good for football.
Soar Fox Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 Look at the video 58 seconds in, you can see Kasper with his fists up looking like he's ready to punch anyone who goes near him.
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 I do enjoy the Troy Deeney looks like a fish chants though! I tell you what Deeny does look like, like he's got a stocking on his head and he's about to rob a bank.
ollielcfc Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 I'm sorry but asking us to look at it as a neutral is unbelievable.
Langston Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 That stocking post from manwell Pablo is the greatest thing I've ever seen. Look at the video 58 seconds in, you can see Kasper with his fists up looking like he's ready to punch anyone who goes near him. Haha, great spot!
maynefox Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 It's just the way you guys (Watford FC) acted. Okay, it was an amazing moment in your history and why wouldn't be for the neutral it was great entertainment, but it doesn't mean anything now, well to me anyway, made us a better team etc.I was so distraught because I thought this season we would barely make the play-offs! I just hate how Watford still go on about it, it's boring, you had a nice time at Wembley etc but you didn't get promoted. I don't even mention the Knockaert goal v Forest as some LCFC fans do; that was a nice occasion but, for me, now it doesn't really matter.
cityfanlee23 Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 I'm sorry but asking us to look at it as a neutral is unbelievable. Not really..... It's football, And the game was astonishing. Anybody can appreciate what an amazing game it was, not from a leicester point of view, but from a spectator point, how often does that happen? Man utd 1999?
NewburyFox Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 Was played. I don't think it was played. We played the 3-0 win from the 09/10 season.
ollielcfc Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 Not really..... It's football, And the game was astonishing. Anybody can appreciate what an amazing game it was, not from a leicester point of view, but from a spectator point, how often does that happen? Man utd 1999? Yes it's football but it's my team. I don't look at my team losing in any way other than from a Leicester perspective. That's me, you might be able to detach yourself from the club in order to see things from a different viewpoint - but I can't. In relation to Man Utd 1999, 1) I didn't see it, 2) That game didn't involve my club so it's a bit different. I can appreciate football as a spectacle, but when Leicester play it's all about them.
Soar Fox Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 I don't think it was played. We played the 3-0 win from the 09/10 season. I thought that aswell. I'm sure Stringer was say saying on the radio how Leicester weren't going to play it.
One Legged Beaver Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 I was thinking more deeney.jpg I always have a bit of time for some blobfish!
