I'd argue that our achievement is significantly better than Celtic winning 12 in a row. Could see us doing that quite easily in the SPL.

Somewhat honored by that mention, but using Celtic's achievement in a crappy SPL. lol

 

I think it's even more so an achievement given the fact that it's happening in a league of 24 teams.

Different difficulty level, even though the Championship is "only" a second tier.

completely agree, they have noone to compete with.... their major signing was a league 1 striker from wolves, shows how poor the standard of the SPL is

 

they should really be winning every game

Although the league is poor, they are a MASSIVE club.. bigger than 3/4 of premier league teams.

And many more have all said they are one of the biggest clubs in the world... Ibrahimovich has publicly quoted he would like to end his career there...

 

If celtic played in the english premiership they would be challenging within 5 years. They turn a £20m profit in the SPL (Alot due to champions league)

With Tv revenue, sponsorships, constant big attendances.. they would make huge amounts in the english premiership...

 

problem is in the league, they cannot easily attract your rooneys, your ronaldos etc... but if you can do it with league 1 strikers, it turns profits...

Apart from the keeper, who else would get in our side? Would you swap samaras for nuge or vardy, commons for knocky?

Players that would get into our side  - IMO

 

Van dijk - By an absolute country mile. would replace morgan with him now... Better prospect than liam moore.

Samaras - Bench player, will go to the premier league at the end of his contract.

scott brown - Better than any of our centre mids. (Although our centre mids are the best in the division IMO)

Pukki - Better than nugent and vardy.

James forest - Decent prospect.. Would sign him as a prospect to replace lloyd, he will be a better player than lloyd.

Kayal  - He's the hammond of the squad - bench player

Charlie mulgrew - Left back, Centre back and Centre mid, would slot into Left back over konchesky.

 

This is based on going to celtic every 3 weeks/1 month.  (Mrs lives in scotland) so although I may be wrong, it's not drummed up from youtube...

Celtic don't count. Their lack of competition is ridiculous. Their players and fans must get genuinely completely bored.

Agree, Personally I'd love to see them in the premiership, Once coventry end up not being a club, get them in.

 

must be nice to beat barca though, and they buy young which is good, Wanyama looks like a world class pospect if he leaves southampton

Nope Celtic can stay in the SPL, why should they come over here? Granted they are a massive club but it forsnt give them the right to play in England.

Same applies for Rangers.

Celtic would be a massive improvement for the premier league, When a team like coventry fold, they should be able to join IMO,

Personally I think the premier league Need a team like celtic.

 

I'd have a bet with anybody here, That IF celtic ever get to join the premiership (Which personally I think they will in the next 5 years) they would be in the top 4 and challenging the title within 5 years.

be cool if the scottish champs could win promotion to the premier league , they would have to be replaced by another team though, im sure theres a way of including the scottish leagues into the pyramid.

Quite a lot of Celtic players wouldn't get in our team. Sorry about that too.
