Derby V QPR

Huge game for Burnley tomorrow. Derby match and a chance to go 3 pts clear in 2nd

Burnley draw quite a few, as do Bolton.

That would suit me fine.

QPR have not got quite the right blend.  They have older players whose better day's are behind them, who have dropped down from the Prem and maybe aren't that bothered anymore with the likes of Barton, Dunne, Kranjcar, Johnson.  They have ex Prem players who think they should still be playing in the Prem with the likes of Hoilett, Assou-Ekotto, Zamora, Jenas, .  And they have a striker from Wolves whose best day's are behind him.  Austin aside, there is no up and coming youngsters that have something to prove and are chomping at the bit.  If it wasn't for Austin they would be mid table as best.

Why are so many people worried about Derby? So much so that they wanted our nearest rivals to gain a point on us? If Derby keep pace with us, they still might not make second and if they somehow peg us back, it's because we've thrown it away and deserve the play-offs.

And don't forget how we dicked all over them, last month.

An absolutely horrendous game of football in which two sides played a lot of route one football. The more I watch Derby, the more I realise how important Chris Martin is to them. Without his diving and play acting they would have nothing. His rolling around wins endless amounts of free kicks and cons referees. 'Holding the ball up' others might call it. Nonetheless, he makes Chico Flores' actions resemble Arnold Schwarzenegger. As for QPR, old and slow is the best way to describe them, with a gobshite in the middle and ball sack faced manager. I'm sorry Harry, but you won't be catching us whilst you play boring negative football... Aaron Hughes at right back.. Gary O'Neil right midfield ahead of Junior Hoilett.. lump of Kevin Doyle up top. I'd love it if neither got promoted.

Rob Green is still up to his old tricks I see, and was largely to blame for the goal.

And as for Joey Barton, well....... what a turd.

This.

Although I can see them getting 3 points off Bournemouth. That would put them 7 points off us. You can see its still tight for 1st. Makes the Forest game even more important now.

Err, can't get excited about Derby winning... perhaps it's just me :dunno:

Me neither but I can get excited about QPR losing, we are going up said we are going up!!!

(incidentally, why is it ok to chant that at a football match but say it on here and everyone tells you off for counting your chickens)

I don't see much to Martin up front other than being a big lump who goes down easily, but today he was absolutely immense defensively for them at set pieces. He must have cleared about six on his own.

Him, Keogh and Buxton defended brilliantly today and Bryson had a good grip on the midfield.

Oh, Danny must have released him from his back pocket then.

Even if worst comes to worst and we lose at Forest we'll still be at least 5 points clear with only 2 of our promotion rivals still to play. Forest and Burnley would still have to play 3.

I can't see anything stopping us if we beat Forest.

Love how the majority of the closing of the show tonight was about Leicester. Simon Thomas always had a soft spot for us. Go on Super Kev!!

I thought Kevin Philips came across very grounded, albeit he has experience and a level head.

A very good move from Nige to bring him in and keep the younger lads in check for the run in.

Nervous about that match now. They'll have seen the door flung open a tad.

Need to be back to our best.
