HEGGSY Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 Is this because of the pint and a half of Belgium beer that each of you will have drunk or because of the excessive amounts of hot milk and chockie biscuits you could drink and eat unsupervised at the pajama party afterwards? lol
Voll Blau Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 what leicester fans would want to go an anderlecht game? Only if you're getting smoke bombs which are the right colour this time.

Finnegan Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Didn't their own fans say not to bother? Also, we might possibly be the neediest fans in football. If we were a girlfriend we'd be ****ing annoying.
Strokes Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Didn't their own fans say not to bother? Also, we might possibly be the neediest fans in football. If we were a girlfriend we'd be ****ing annoying. its bunny boiler territory. They turn up to show an ex player some appreciation, we follow them all round Europe imagining some sort of relationship. Freaks
jimmer Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Do we have an ex player/club legend that currently plays for them? Or am I missing the point of this? Weird.
indierich06 Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 This really is sad. Anderlecht didn't come over to see Leicester City, they came to see Was. They give absolutely zero ****s about us. Trying to force some pathetic 'alliance' is just bizarre. Why not actually do what the Anderlecht fans did and go to a game where you want to support an ex-City player. Why not take a trip to Bulgaria and see the legend that is Aleksandar Tunchev turning out for Lokomotiv Plovdiv? Or, even better, get over to Iran and see Hossein Kaebi terrorizing defences in the Iran Pro League for Esteghlal Khuzestan?

Happy Fox Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 I am hoping these young City fans wake the f**K up but I don't hold much hope!
Jakemoore Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 We're already organising a trip on Bentleys Roof mate. Welcome to join us, we still hav 20+ places left the last I heard. Oh dear! Please don't mis behave!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Id quite like a jolly to Belgium to drink some decent beer Exactly this. Make a long weekend of it.
fuchsntf Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 There is definitely no beer to be found in Belgium! None at all! Zilch. No I suppose not, just probably the choice of the strongest beers found above, under, around any bars or klosters in striking distance of Bradgate park. And if you say you have already been to belgium, then you only visited hotel bars or Brit pubs.
1964FOX Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 This is quite funny, it's a group of fans who are going to have a day on the piss and people are making them out to be weird. It would be even funnier if any of those moaning actually told these lads what they think to their faces.

Yeah, the OP looks like a right hard bastard, and ooooh those nasty boys off of Bentley's Roof, they're well scary! Listen - I'd be more than happy to tell them that trying to form some kind of 'alliance' with Anderlecht is pretty sad and needy, when their fans clearly couldn't give a shit about our club either way. If they want to go and watch a game and have a weekend on the piss, then fine, but let's not pretend there's any kind of link between our two clubs.

You have made that up. Why can't you let these lads go about arranging it and keep your nose out. You don't want to go so leave those that do alone. Mistified how this changes your life so much, there is a whole world outside of your door..

Maybe something will come from this but who knows. For me so far, there's no real 'alliance'. Them visiting an ex-player twice does not create an alliance, as much as I liked them.

Just don't get how folk on here are having a go at some blokes trying to arrange a trip away. Why would they care so much? Its sad and pathetic...
jimmer Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 No one is having a go at people organising a trip somewhere, that is normal and fine. What people are saying (inc Anderlecht fans) is that there is no freaking Alliance! They came over to support one of their club legends. Thats it. Nothing to do with LCFC or supporting us as a club! This whole alliance thing is cringe-worthy....and that badge the earlier post about bunny boiler territory is spot on!!
HitchinFox Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 For what it's worth (not much I guess) I've got to agree with those who are positive about any link up with Anderlecht - however tenuous. Why the hell not? Belgium is a train ride away and I for one would be up for one annual piss up with like minded people. Every friendship starts from somewhere. For an example, the famous link between St Pauli and Celtic isn't as politically motivated as people think - the beginning of that was rather random (and down to a handful of fans). The politics came later when there was a realisation that there are similarities between the ideologies of the clubs. Read more here if you want: http://www.thecelticwiki.com/page/St+Pauli+FC. I know this because I go to St Pauli games a couple of times a year. What I'm saying is that if 40-50 of us would travel to an Anderlecht game once a year and they return the favour - what's the harm? For all we know, Wasil might not even be a Fox next season, but I fail to see how having a fan-based relationship between the two clubs would be anything but a nice little legacy of a season that we'll all probably remember for a long while (fingers crossed). In years to come, younger fans would ask (on their first Eurostar trip, among 50 other nutcases wearing the blue): "So what is this Anderlecht thing anyway? Why are we going?" To which everyone could come up with their own answer - a mixture of wild dogs, the Carpathian mountains, Poland, Wasil, broken legs, Pearson, headbutts, promotion and Anderlecht.
lgfualol Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 I hope we play Le Havre in a friendly. Finally gives me a chance to eat my Leicester-Le Havre alliance baguette.
GingerrrFox Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 I love it when people say things like "say it to my face". I'm sure as they come out with such drivel they imagine themselves to be Mike Tyson in his prime, unfortunately for them the reality is much less intimidating.

Hence I'm all for a trip to Anderlecht too!

Who would've thought it? thank you for educating me! When I was last in Bruges I went to the place below and could not find one decent beer all night and so had to drink soda water and lime: http://www.degarre.be/ Definitely no beer in Belgium! None at All! Zilch!
