Forest 2-2 - Goals

That ref was shit - Morgan - if anything he's pulled down, free kick city. Konchs red - soft as ****, mistimed and nothing more. Drinks pen - really soft, not a penalty.

Kind of thought that at time time, after seeing it back, I do agree. Cox (already hate him anyway) was telling the ref it should be red. ****.

If you ignore our celebrating players there's a great bit of great bit of scrapping at the back of the goal net.

Reid vs Phillips? :frantics:

How the **** is that not a red?? Phillips did nothing there what so ever and just gets shoved.

I'd started genuinely respecting Reid for the pivotal role he plays for his team, but yesterday he showed he's no better than their cretinous fans.  Shameful display from a grown man.

Wes moment of madness but not sure that's a pen? The guy grabs him by the shirt. Free kick leicester. Ref knew he was wrong because he restored karma by giving us a soft pen at the end.

Alls fair in love and war. Konchesky tackle was a yellow at worst!? Just showed old heathy who was boss! Def not a red. This game has gone soft!

Agreed. The Forest pen was easily as soft as ours, even softer in fact. At least there's some contact for ours. I'm pretty sure Mackie just fell over when he tried to stretch.

Konchesky's probably a red in this day and age but all he's really done is gone in hard and late. It's hardly a leg breaker.

In fairness we'd have wanted to see red if one of their players did what Konch did. Should have known better, any high tackle forces the ref to consider a sending off. 2 points from two very very tricky games. We can now crack on in a month where we play the bottom 3 teams and should pretty much seal our return to the top flight.

I'm not sure it was high, though.

Said at the time Wes was brought down and I stand by it after seeing it again.

Agree with that after seeing it again. just jumps into him.

I think both pens were correct. Soft but ultimately correct. Wes loses his footing and falls on top of Mackie's legs, no? Danny has got his MasterCard out but there's no doubt Paterson bundles him.

Either way it was clumsy play in both instances.

Both pens are pens. Wes is very lucky that Mackie was adjudged to have been running away from goal by the ref.

Every goal last night was completely avoidable, we self destructed for a period before regaining some composure whilst Forest controlled periods of the game but look vulnerable to direct running.

I don't think we should underestimate their 15 match unbeaten run either.

Does anyone else think  Darlow could have been sent off for the tackle on Vardy as he was scoring the opener?

If the 'denied a goalscoring opportunity' law was in Anthony Taylor's head, then I don't see why not. Because Vardy has gone on and tucked it away at the same time, it's a moot point I think.

Hope we can regain our form, but I'm happy to have got a point.

Wes and Konch., need a verbal hammering from Pearson.

Come on City, let's get steaming on again, geezers.

Our form is very good!,  but understand what you are saying we are playing slightly below par imo, but our strength of character and never say die attitude is certainly helping us.

Which is a good aspect of our game, all the best teams have it.

I would have taken a point at Forest, it's a good point if we can beat Ipswich Saturday. Be happy with Forest getting a draw at Burnley, as well and yesterday might feel even better.

i don't really know too much about the rules, could the ref still book him after Vardy had scored?
