Mrfox452 Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Love the guy. When he ran off the pitch when being subbed off against watford showed he really does care. Anybody know the words to the chant being sung for him yesterday?
MGLCFC Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Pity don't play Leeds again, cos when they started singing 'Marching on together', we could have sung over them 'Marcin Wasylowski'

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Never looked terrible just looked a little dodgy like a mistake waiting to happen a times. But has been superb since Moore got injured, better than Morgan imo
Loggy88 Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 He's been a great free signing, he is the player we needed last season. Bit of bite about him, very strong, very brave thats what we needed so credit to Nigel for signing him. He deserves a 1 year extension.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 He certainly is the sort of player we need in the Premiership, and imo he would /will, do well in it
Witch Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Pity don't play Leeds again, cos when they started singing 'Marching on together', we could have sung over them 'Marcin Wasylowski' Wasilewski I know, polish surnames are tough for you, Englishmen
Stadt Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Wasilewski I know, polish surnames are tough for you, Englishmen Are you an Anderlecht fan, Witch?
Witch Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Are you an Anderlecht fan, Witch? I am a proud Pole and Wasyl's supporter.
MGLCFC Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Wasilewski I know, polish surnames are tough for you, Englishmen Apologies Witch - but just put 1 and 2 together and got 4 - so used to calling him Wasyl, didn't really think beyond that. Be easier if he was just called Wasyl
Stadt Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 I am a proud Pole and Wasyl's supporter.Cool, your English is very good.
65RosesFox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Wasilewski I know, polish surnames are tough for you, Englishmen I am a proud Pole and Wasyl's supporter. Likewise. However I'm only half Polish, but have a Polish first name that people cannot pronounce, they panic when they see the 'Z'
Witch Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Likewise. However I'm only half Polish, but have a Polish first name that people cannot pronounce, they panic when they see the 'Z' Well, my surname is long and difficult to pronounce even for Poles. Non-Poles usually stop trying after the first syllable Not without a reason Polish is said to be one of the most difficult languages in the world. So remember, gents: Wasilewski. Nicknamed Wasyl
Guest MattP Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 We really are a retarded nation if we have people struggling to pronounce Wasilewski.
Sampson Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 He's a good centre back for sure. Definitely not a right back however.
65RosesFox Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 We really are a retarded nation if we have people struggling to pronounce Wasilewski. A nation full of Alan Young's
Guest PerfumePonce Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 We all dream of a team of Wasilewski's.
Harry - LCFC Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 On the fence with him at the moment. If he continues to impress for the rest of the season as he has done recently I want him to stay. Just a bit wary of the shaky moments he had earlier, particularly at right back.
CosbehFox Posted 25 February 2014 Posted 25 February 2014 His agent is already quoted as trying to get him a deal back at Anderlecht for next season. The manager which ousted him is nearing the sack.
LC/FC Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 You'd think the prospect of possibly playing Premier League football next season might be slightly tempting to stay than going back to Belgium. If he wanted to go back then fairplay to the guy but bit strange to miss out on a chance to play the likes of both Manchester teams and all the London teams, against World Class players.

Strange indeed, as playing in Premier League was his big dream, crushed once by the leg injury. He said it many times. Weirrrrrd.
MPH Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 With his age he's going to need a steady run in the team, just like now to get match sharp. I think next season he'll obviously be a year older and I think a bit slower. He would be in danger of ruining the cult hero status he currently has. I'd wrather remember him as the player he is and the impact he has made and send him back to anderlecht with my best wishes.
LC/FC Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 Correct me if I'm mistaken but isn't Polish one of the language's where the W is pronounced in English as a V. And his name should actually be said as 'Vasilevski' opppsed to what Alan Young always does and say it phonetically?
