65RosesFox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Imagine Aguero running at him. Aguero vs him or Wes is a frightening thought. Completely off topic but I wonder how fast Dyer will compare to Prem defenders, assuming we go up of course and he gets an extension.
Munshi Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Aguero vs him or Wes is a frightening thought. Completely off topic but I wonder how fast Dyer will compare to Prem defenders, assuming we go up of course and he gets an extension. If he plays with his full confidence and runs at the defenders like we know he can then he would be able to do a job for us in the prem. However if he plays like he's been playing for the past couple of weeks he'd be completely out of the game and it'd be like playing with 10 men. Love you Lloyd

Completely off topic but I wonder how fast Dyer will compare to Prem defenders, assuming we go up of course and he gets an extension. He caused problems against Man City so i'm sure he'd be a decent option at times. Even in the championship he can get knocked off the ball or is crowded out too easily (today in particular) so I wouldn't be suprised if we brought in another wideman. Great in the championship though which is all that matters at the moment
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Not many prem defenders can handle aguero though
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 He's been arguably the best and most important signing this season
Guest Col city fan Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 He's been arguably the best and most important signing this season Surely you mean GTF?
maxwelld_ Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Yep.. Sign him.. Good asset!.. But we'll need to sign a top quality left back for next season... Any idea's?.. Ashley cole !
SMX11 Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 No sure he will be up to the job. He has performed pretty well at this level but I am sure NP will be looking for a long term solution.
Finnegan Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Almost surprised this hasn't started yet. Look, there's a drum part for Jobber and everything.
CosbehFox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Imagine Aguero running at him. Aguero versus a significant amount of the PL is a mis-match.
theessexfox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Cresswell. Only player that looked quite decent for them. Everyone has mentioned Knockaert's defending today, it's because he was always looking to go forward at every opportunity. He will be in the Premier League next season no doubt! Was gonna say that Cresswell was a previous suggestion, but I thought he looked shit today... looked poor on the ball.
foxfanazer Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Been a solid signing so far. Prefer Moore but we needed a nasty bastard and he certainly is that
AlphaMaleFox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Almost surprised this hasn't started yet. Look, there's a drum part for Jobber and everything. Wasyl! He's a tank from Poland - Wasyl! He plays for Leicester - Wasyl! And now he'll smash you - Wasyl! Wasyl!
pazzerfox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 He did play well yesterday but let's be honest, he wasn't playing against much. Some very brave decision's need to be made if we get promoted on who he thinks will 'cut the mustard', and who wont. While Wasyl is turning out to be a good Championship defender, it's a bit different when Sergio Aguero, Suarez, Hazard, Long etc are all running at you.

He's probably faced just as good at international level and whilst I'm not suggesting he is the player he was 5 years ago, I think he has earned a new contract for 1 season and I do think he could be great cover. I'm not suggesting he'd be a starter, but I'd say he's as good as Richard Dunne who played at this level.

We have to beat Norwich, Stoke & Palace etc while grabbing what we can against the top 6My principle concern isn't a player or 2 who can be upgraded, but instead would be whether two up top & a midfield duo would be able to cut it. In almost every game the midfield duo would be outnumbered and we're not very good in anything other than 442 although we can adapt to 4411 fine. If we sacrifice a player up top to add one more to the middle we lose our entire wing play game. Perhaps we can nail 352/451/433 either once promotion is assured & through the close season
Happy Fox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Lets worry about the prem when we get their we will no doubt strengthen the first team with better calibre of players to compliment some of our younger players who will improve. As for the championship we have squad depth, and quality in it key difference. The Blues are going Up!

I really think our central midfield is up to Premier league quality but like you say, they would get outnumbered more often than not, which would make it difficult.
CPW22 Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Been a solid signing so far. Prefer Moore but we needed a nasty bastard and he certainly is that Agree. He gives us something different from Moore and Wes.
65RosesFox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 No sure he will be up to the job. He has performed pretty well at this level but I am sure NP will be looking for a long term solution. We have the long term solution in Liam Moore. And then two experienced others in Wes and Was. We don't need to be need to be splashing cash on any central defenders that's for sure. If we get someone with experience on a free then different story, but either way Was has done enough to earn an extension.
leicesterisme Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Imagine Aguero running at him. Pretty much any Premier League defender would struggle against Aguero so that's a bit of a silly thing to say. The games against the top teams wouldn't really be games we would have to worry about anyway, taking points off them would be a huge bonus.

For me it's more a case that a partnership of Wes and Was may have to be used at times next season, but if it's against a team with pace they will find it extremely difficult and may struggle. But as mentioned previously I'm sure he's had similar experiences at national level.
