Stadt Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Anybody else see/hear these today? There was a group of ladies (many of whom were very easy on the eye) continually chanting Leicester songs in Spanish in A1 especially during the not infrequent quiet spells. One of them had a very deep voice that made it all the funnier, and seemingly undeterred by the funny looks they carried on all the way to the final whistle. There was a bit of a scrap as well, very strange day in A block.
TJB-fox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 They were French, Le Havre fans. A bunch of them came over from France, to watch Mahrez play today. They'll be coming over to 1 or 2 more home games and to Blackburn away

harpendenfox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Definitely French. Plenty of allez les bleus. Put the thousands of people around them, myself included, to shame with their singing. A number of them had that distinct French va va voom too
CosbehFox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Funny enough there was a lad sat next to me who couldn't speak a word of English but he had scarf, programme and taking pics. I believe he was Central European. Fair play for him to watch ( most likely) his local team.
Stadt Posted 23 February 2014 Author Posted 23 February 2014 They definitely weren't French, I was sitting directly in front of them, they were speaking Spanish or Portuguese. I take French as a GCSE so I think I'm able to distinguish between a language I learn and a language I don't.

Carl the Llama Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Wookie, it sounds like you've "fait une gaffe" as they say in le French.

A fox for life Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 first time i sat in A block due to wanting to try a different area, however it was awful! maybe 1 in 100 people in that area joined in with any chant. and OP what happened with that scuffle? did someone get ejected too?

A load of drunk guys turned about 15 mins in and I think they were standing in somebody's way, they've then asked them to move and by the looks of it one of the drunk lads didn't take too kindly to it. The guy went into the concourse at half time and didn't come back so I assuming the stewards got him there.
lgfualol Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Find out where they're from, this has potential for another alliance.
lavrentis Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Find out where they're from, this has potential for another alliance. Just like our non alliances with Cheltenham and Anderlecht?

That would be Raj , he can easily pass for a latino in full make up If ever they need a Carmen Miranda lookalike , Raj is the first number they call.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 I'm thinking scalves, badges, tshirts etc. This time next year we'll be millionaires! *whistles*
Kinowe Soorie Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Well they could definitely speak French as they asked my friend to take a photo of them at the bottom of the stairs with the pitch behind them Is your mate French then?
