HitchinFox Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 Might be an idea to run this topic as a vote? Seems to be that most posts feature five names from a group of 12-14 players - might be interesting/fun/completely pointless to see which names get mention most and come in top five.
Bugg Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 Alex McCarthy Kieran Trippier Aaron Cresswell Almen Abdi (providing he's isn't a sicknote, despite being out injured for most of the season) Danny Ings Couldn't see any of them happening, but I reckon they'd be great additions.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 Ings Cresswell MacManaman Rodolph Austin Heaton Probably this
LAprice_ Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 Cresswell (Best left-back in the league) Hughes (A decent player, considering his age. Playing in a mediocre Derby side.) Ince (Proven to be a deadly winger) Ings (One of the best strikers in the league) Remy (Newcastle's best player) Well, if people are going to say Thomas Ince then technically I can say Remy as well... right?

foxoffderby Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 Cresswell Ings Hughes Trippier Ince I think both Derby and Burnley will go up with us so we won't get those players
Fox Ulike Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 I wouldn’t really want to ‘strengthen’ with Championship players. Is Ings really any better than Vardy?? I would break the bank for Will Hughes... but I doubt we'd get him. I think we’ll need to rely on our scouting network and pull in a few quality foreigners… How about Max Gradel?

Gazza M Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 Not sure how many would do a job in the prem. We have the best aquad in the division already, so would only be weakening it by adding other championship players.

Do you mean Gradel who wanted to leave the club as soon as he could? And who only has experience at Championship level in England, a little contradicting....

We have the best aquad in the division already, so would only be weakening it by adding other championship players. We have the best squad, doesn't mean we have all the best players. So it wouldn't actually weaken the squad. For instance having Ings or Austin as a sub rather than Wood or Schlupp strengthens the squad.
Carl the Llama Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 Shackell McCormack Paterson Trippier Cresswell /thread
Aus Fox Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 McCarthy (Reading) Lascells (Forest) Cresswell (Ipswich) McMananman (Wigan) Ings (Burnley) Schemichael De Laet Moore Lascells Cresswell Knockaert James Drinkwater McManaman Ings Vardy McCarthy, Mahrez, Miquel, King, Nugent, Morgan, Dyer If we could get and keep that starting 11 for a few years, we could really go places
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Trippier, Austin, Hoilett, Abdoun, Hughes Abdoun? Have you seen him play? I think he's poor. If you're going to take a F****t winger, then it'd have to be the young lad Paterson.
Devonfox1884 Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Rhodes ings Phillips (QPR) Lascalles Anya If i could have 6 i'd have will hughes as well.
jonthefox Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 McCormack - Don't be surprised if we try and sign him anyway. Bryson Cresswell Ings Paterson Come on Bert, what do you know?.
Super_horns Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 I have a lot of time for Ikechi Anya of Watford. I think he would do well - pace and good technical play at times. Mind you he always gets injured when going away with Scotland...
Rushden fox Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 The team day 1 prem season 14-15 Schmiechel Cress well 1 Morgan Moore Delaet Knocky Drinkwater James Bamford 2 McCormack (free kicks not penalties) 3 Vardy Subs Butland 4, Lacelles 5, Schlupp, King, Nugent, Only lacking prem experience necessary in the midfield so I may ask Viera to join our coaching team and leave the punditry to people who talk crap like goodman and beagrie.
Bryn Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Surprised more people aren't taking some of QPR's outstanding individuals who would be good under a decent manager. Matt Phillips, Niko Kranjcar, Charlie Austin would all augment our squad.
