Not even managed to play the beta, but know I won't be dropping £60 on it.

Played it quite a bit over the weekend and really enjoyed it

 

The scoped LMG is OP for medium to long range combat

Reinstalled FIFA 17 on PC for the usual football fix (I always have FIFA 16 and PES 2021 fully modded installed). I come back to FIFA 17 from time to time because it's a difficult game. The player inertia and physics are great. Shots outside the box are a joy. Defense is top, there are random encounters and fouls. 

How these clowns at EA managed to ruin this game afterwards is unbelievable.

Was playing it over the weekend a lot better than Call of duty although I keep getting killed quite easily

My 5-year-old loves fantasy so tried showing him Ocarina of Time earlier in the summer and he loved watching me play through it. Moved onto Breath of the Wild now which is a lot more slow paced but still quite magic for him. For the record, I think the replayability of that game is quite poor. 
 

We’ve been drawing bosses from the Zelda series, watching videos of boss fights and it has mostly just reminded me how criminal it is that Twilight Princess is the ONLY home console Zelda game we can’t play on Switch 2. Fvck, that game is so so good.

Completed a couple of easy platinums over the last few weeks and have just started Sword of the Sea.  Quality indie title, well worth a download.

Really want Snake Eater but balking at the price.  Will hold off until reduced probably, but man it looks good.

As much as I want to play through this one again, it's not worth 58 quid.  Wish they'd done a remake of MGS 2 first as well as I prefer that one too!

 

The End is the best thing about MSG 3 (and the ladder ).

Started replaying through the Halo games this week, done the the first two games and just started playing Halo 3

 

I have played through all of them before except Infinite, which I actually bought when it first came out but didn't get too far into it as I believe Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes came out around a similar time and played through that instead and just never went back to Infinite

I had forgotten that Halo 3 was a bit shorter than the first two, started and beat it today 

 

Still love that last mission escaping the ring, kind of want it remastered just to see it in todays graphics haha

 

Now onto ODST!

Reach and ODST were my favourites largely by virtue of not featuring the Flood, I found most of their levels a right chore. Keep meaning to get around to 4 and Infinite, maybe if they ever end up porting 5 it'll be a nice little trilogy to play through even though I know they're not hugely well regarded compared to the Bungie games

I could never get past The End. It was only a few years ago I found out that he eventually dies of old age. I suppose at some point I'll have to pick this up to settle that old score.

Just downloaded Hogwarts Legacy, was on offer on steam for a tenner. Always fancied giving it a go but wasn't going to pay full wack for it since, since its not the sort of games i usually play.

I got it when it came out and it's actually not bad but a little bit lacking for an open world game I found, something felt a little bit empty. Worth playing if you catch it on sale! 

 

The biggest crime is they never implemented Quidditch into it and put some naff detail into the story to justify it!

That quidditch game is pretty crap as well

 

Nowhere near enough content to be a standalone game and should’ve been DLC at most

I saw that and then read up on it, won't bother. Seems they wont be releasing any DLC for Hogwarts, but they are looking into a sequel. 

 

Anyway thoughts so far is its a really great game, (especially for a tenner) plenty to do and tbh just taking it slow for a change. Have not played many single player games but i am enjoying it.

I'd had every BF since Bad Company in like 2008, until BF 2042 which I didn't bother with, apparently they'd dared to change the classic BF classes and associated abilities.

Big patch for Poe2 launched Friday and I'm only now getting stuck into it. GGG snatched defeat from the jaws of victory at launch by releasing it in a good, fun state, then stripping all the joy from it within the first month. Hopefully they can recover as the game is great, just needs more daft builds that defined PoE.

Managed to finish Halo 4 last night and I have been playing Halo 5 Guardians today and got about 2/3 of the way

 

They just seem to be getting worse... kind of looking forward to my playthrough of these being finished haha
