Would cost at least £5m if not more, is he THAT much better than Knocky or Riyad? - Certainly doesn't have either of their workrate.

Id be very surprised if Nige went in for him

Zaha is better than both Knocky or Riyad he tore this league to pieces when he was with Palace

Riyad has played only a handful of games but seems to be tearing this league to pièces.

Zaha has the pace, but you can see already from the few performances Riyad has been apart of that hes technically gifted, can cut open defenses and just glides around the pitch. something which we will require when in the Prem.

Riyad is a top singing.

I seem to be in the minority to think he was pretty crap against Burnley the other day (have been impressed in all other games other than Yeovil).

I was amazed with the commentators views on his game, and that of others suggesting he was man of the match. He gave the ball away time and time again throughout the second half without comment from anyone, he did one great run and everyone was purring.

Think I'll have to watch it back and see what I missed!

On this subject I know we have been following Jelle Vossen in Belgium. He's scored 20+ goals for a couple of seasons in the top league for Genk and we've had scouts over in Belgium in the past few months and I've been told good things about him.

Seem to remember Middlesbrough offering £4m for him not so long ago, was turned down.

No he isn't. Said it when Man Utd blew £15mil and I'll say it now. Over-rated.

I thought he played well in the first and looked dangerous, second half he wasn't so good.

I think it takes time to acclimate (acclimatise) to championship football and certainly the sxcellent close em down style that NP has us playing at the moment.

I'm always surprised that he's not subbed during the last 20 mins.

Hopefully next year he'll be able to keep it up for the whole 90.

Haven't we worked out yet that building success works for Leicester whereas trying to buy it doesn't generally have the desired effect.

Depends who's doing the buying! :D

I hope we don't spend big on any players, with our record they only end up failing to deliver under the pressure of the fee and expectation of the fans.

I'd love to see us sign Jordan Mutch too as MC Prussian has mentioned, Zaha on loan and a cheeky Caulker bid would be nice but let's see, Nigel and his scouting team have surprised us and usually operate in a very stringent manner so I'll look forward to seeing what we do.

Doubt we'll be buying much British talent - especially if the players in question are from other PL clubs. We all saw the article where Nigel said how crazy it was that Cardiff had spent so much on Cornelius, it's obvious the guy places importance in getting value for money, and you just don't get that with English players.

Gally, danns and ssl will be like new signings. No need to strengthen

Someone on here definitely won't get this...

I doubt it. If I were the owners I'd be thinking it's about time we took some money back!

I did say can, I still don't think people realise how much money is floating around the prem after the latest deal. £63m is the minimum for finishing bottom (more than Man United got last season for finishing top), realistically though we will have more than that available if the owners want to make it available, considering the amount the owners have spent getting to the prem, it seems a bit perverse not to spend the rewards of getting there on keeping us there, and build a prem team, then cut back the following year and pocket the rewards, not forgetting every place we finish above bottom will be rewarded with more money, they can pocket that too.

Well that depends on how early you discover them... £1m for Drinkwater and Vardy for instance is looking very good value now. Buying established players is what costs the big money, and Pearson has already said their transfer policy won't change.

He always wants players that are going to add value, and you rarely get that going out and buying names from prem clubs, in fact it's often the opposite of getting value. And he wants people with something to prove.

You cant argue though he was the best player in the league though when Palace went up, he is quick, skilful, two footed and he know where the goal is

I'm sure the owners are aware that going mental and spending shit loads of not good if you happen to come back down.

You  don't seem to take into account we are already running at a heavy loss, and will only make FFP (if we do) because of them pumping in more funds, and because about £5m of running costs don't count towards FFP... but those bills still need to be paid. Already high wages will increase, we have no idea what mental bonuses were put into contracts a few years back with regards promotion.

I expect reasonable investment, but nothing ridiculous. I'm sure they have have worked out that chucking huge sums about doesn't always work.

As Babs has already said I should think there will be investment, just nothing anything close to what you originally suggested.

As I said £63m is minimum, the total value on promotion is now estimated at around £120m we are going to get increased gates, increased sponsorship, increased merchandise, along with these increased wages, we will also be binning some high earners, such as Danns, Waghorn, SSL and more, we have no interest on our debt any more, and we have hopefully ended our liability on paying off the contracts of Beckford, Mills and others.

The other thing is that this is not a secret, every agent in the world knows we have just received a massive windfall and every transfer fee will be inflated massively, we may have to break our record just to land any player, look at the amounts forked out by Palace and Cardiff, we are going to be targetted by agents, and ripped off at every opportunity.

Like I said I am not speculating on what Nigel will do, just that the owners can easily make £63m+ available if they want to for strengthening the squad, which means fees and wages. Even if we are being conservative and assuming we are still making the same loss as 2012-13 season, £30m, which we aren't and assuming no further increase in revenue, which there will be, that is still £33m they can make available.

Whether Nige uses it, wants to, or is allowed to, I have no idea, but we will have a hell of a lot of money available.

They include parachute payments when coming up with that. Two of the biggest money spinners in shirt sponsorship and stadium naming rights people are saying will stay as KP. No way will you make £60m+ from other revenues.

A kitty of £30m for transfers, and more for wages on top of current wage budget would be my top end of what I think they will spend. As I already mentioned, it's all very well spending every penny you get, but you cannot sustain that if you go down.

It's all guess work anyway... we don't know how loaded they are, he could go nuts and give him £200m lol

I know it is all guesswork, and why I'm trying not to speculate on what it means to gates, merchandise, wages and everything else, the only thing guaranteed is that we will get £63m, (+ a further £60 million in parachute payments should we get relegated) and we could make it all available. This season is the first of the new tv deal, and look at what Palace, Cardiff and Hull have spent because of this, all 3 have spent more than our current transfer record on a player, so I think it is safe to say we will have the money to do so, whether we do or not, I have no idea.
