stuartn27 Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Every top class player gets dropped from time to time They come back hungrier...that's my point So jog on year of the fox
The Year Of The Fox Posted 25 March 2014 Author Posted 25 March 2014 Yesss moron year of the fox I stand yet again by saying nugent does need dropping from the team So what's your reply to that 19 goals and the highest number of assists. Will that do?
Happy Fox Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 This is the crunch time of the season, games will be much more harder Yeovil are scrapping for their lives but we showed strength of character as we have shown on numerous occasions not to beaten we have resilience. Promotion is in the bag, the title isn't so clear yet, but if we avoid defeat to Burnley we are a step closer to the title.
Jacnah Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 What is more embarrassing is you posting this a couple of minutes after the match has just finished. This!
Fox 4 Life Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 I don't agree with people saying promotion is in the bag - we need 3 more wins but have away games against Burnley, Wigan, Reading as well as QPR at home which are nowhere near guarantees
Donut Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 I said in the post match forum This could be a good result for us, because it will be a well deserved kick up the arse that the team needs. I am sure that i will be called out for this, but as fantastic as this unbeaten run has been, i am feeling, and seeing a staleness developing in our performances. Over recent games, weve let Burnley steal a march on us and push us for the title. I do not want to see us coast over the line, i want to see us go all out to win the title. We are moving up to the premier league, and as good as it is to have gone so many games unbeaten, im asking for more. I want the passing to be crisper, i want the finishing to be better, i want everything lifted by 10% again because that is what the premiership will require. Weve had a wonderful season, weve played absolutely magnificent football at times and to be top of the table is a dream. But we need to finish the job and get the title won. This is almost like a premiership dress rehearsal for me, show more quality at a time when the going gets tough. I fully expect a backlash from my post, but i am serious. I hope the tone isnt overly critical, i want to be constructive
Fox 4 Life Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Fully agree Donut, hopefully this is a kick up the ass and we go in to Burnley all guns blazing. We need to get these 3 wins as soon as possible to take the pressure off
fuchsntf Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 The gap to third has reduced by four points from two relatively easy games. Ipswich did us a huge favour tonight and Wigan now look out of the race, but promotion is not nearly in the bag. By saturday night there's every chance that the gap to third could be down to ten. We still have to play qpr away so there's a good chance that our gap looks more like seven points with six to play. In the bag? Not even close. We play QPR at home, we won away...we can still get 109 pts QPR 93 max. City have points to play with. .eg Burnley, Wigan, QPR. Who knows whats going to happen..... but lose all 3, IMO no. If we could draw all 3 or better said lose none of the 3. We would still be on min pts103, taking down Wigans n QPRs Max.with games getting less. For the title, Burnley is the big game.ythat said if city lost, Burnley would still need to carry on unbeaten, where if city win or draw, Burnley are still chasing. Plus its come over, they have lost another player to injury. Citys to lose, and lose and have a poor run, unequal to anything we did last year, would be an implosion to go down in Championship history. I still see a 100pt+season but thats speculating.
Guest Col city fan Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 I really regret not making the first post clear that I was criticising the fans (l and k) in particular. Not the performance from the players. There's nothing stopping the fans doing as they please every single week, yet there's 11 blokes stopping us on the pitch. Lets get the behind the lads from now on. Outsung at times by 250 fans. Brilliant. In that case I have no idea what you're on about. I thought the support tonight was excellent. Loudest for ages IMO.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 25 March 2014 Author Posted 25 March 2014 In that case I have no idea what you're on about. I thought the support tonight was excellent. Loudest for ages IMO. Depends where you were sat. The Kop area must've been quite loud as Ive already said you could hear it quite often from L. But L are supposed to be the mainstay of the vocal support. Pffft
Ian W LCFC Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 In fairness my general comments are aimed at L and K. I heard the Kop and SK1 quite often tonight which is more of a reflection l and k being crap rather than the kop being decentPlease... Not this AGAIN.
Ric Flair Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 I don't agree with people saying promotion is in the bag - we need 3 more wins but have away games against Burnley, Wigan, Reading as well as QPR at home which are nowhere near guarantees Put it this way, QPR need to win all 8 games (10 in total as they've won 2 on the spin) and us to average less than a point a game for the remaining 9 games. It's up to you what you want to make of that but I'm astounded at the hysteria I'm reading because we've DRAWN 2 games, albeit against mediocre/poor opposition. Remember our record against teams in the top 6 reads Burnley played 1 drew 1 QPR played 1 won 1 Derby played 2 won 2 Wigan played 1 won 1 Reading played 1 won 1 You need to go down to the likes of the faltering Forest and erratic Brighton to find a team whose beat us. We have little margin for error vs better teams and we seem to turn up, where as against the dross we have shown on 2-3 occasions that we can stutter.
AlphaMaleFox Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 In that case I have no idea what you're on about. I thought the support tonight was excellent. Loudest for ages IMO. Heh??? 40 Yeovil fans' support pisses all over L1/K1, SK1 even CItyfanlee23...
Guest Col city fan Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Heh??? 40 Yeovil fans' support pisses all over L1/K1, SK1 even CItyfanlee23... L1 don't make all the noise. Where I was sitting the noise in the ground tonight was good. I was impressed.
weller54 Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 If Burnley finish champions good on them!.. They've had a fantastic season and the fact is they are every bit as good as us!.. We'll both go up, but Saturday decides who will be champions .should be a great match, and I'm going for a 2-2!!
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 That game surely makes people start to realise that we need to improve big time if/when we go up. That was Yeovil. 2nd from bottom of the Championship and they matched us from start to finish. Yes, we'll look different next season, but most people suggest not massively so. Play like that and we will be mullered in the Premiership. I think we will get promoted. But our last two performances have been poor. And I won't be shocked to see Burnley come very close. I still think we'll be champions but come on boys, step it up again. Yeah but how often have we played like that this season? Peterborough did the double over Cardiff last year and took 4 points off Hull, now they're 2 divisions apart. So to say we would get mullered in the Prem playing that is obvious, but we won't and haven't played like that all season. Was just one of those days where literally everything went wrong. Misplaced passes, Poor control, Dreadful finishing. Just one of those days, take it for what it is rather than using it as a measurement for anything.

Probably best to ignore people who use extremes of performance to try and make their point.
Guest Col city fan Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Probably best to ignore people who use extremes of performance to try and make their point. If you believe that performances anywhere near the last two we have given are going to be anywhere near good enough next season then you remain a rather deluded soul. We'll make changes. The point I was making is that most people think we'll cope with pretty much the same squad. I don't agree personally. But I apologise if you feel that's being critical in some way cos I know you don't like that. We'll be fine, we'll be great etc.. there you go mi old son..
harpendenfox Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 I couldn't go to the game, but have been reading everyone's thoughts. Despite how poorly we've played, we still had 31 shots I see!

Look flip flop, I'll try and make this as simple as possible as I know you have trouble grasping certain things. Using extremes of performance to try and prove your point is just pathetic. For the vast majority of the season we have played great football and virtually the whole team has put in excellent performances... and then, a coupe of average performances and you try to prove your point using them as an example, it's just lame. As for the same squad "most people" did you take a straw poll or something? Anyone with more than a dozen grey cells up top will know we are going to, and will have to strengthen next year. Anything other than that is almost unheard of.
Babylon Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Only you have mentioned it Col is on his usual point scoring routine that happens after every game, if in doubt just start making shit up.
Guest Col city fan Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Col is on his usual point scoring routine that happens after every game, if in doubt just start making shit up. What shit have I 'made up' exactly? That many posters feel that we don't need to make many changes if/when we get promoted? Go back through the threads.. As usual, when someone posts something that doesn't fit your world view of Leicester City, you become highly defensive or resort to sarcasm. As for 'flip flop'.. how old are you?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 Promotion is virtually guaranteed for me but I will be disappointed if we don't win the league espcially since being top since around boxing day. Just hope the real and better us turns up on sat

As for 'flip flop'.. how old are you? Wow, it's almost like you literally forget what you post about 5 posts above this one... too much babycham? Ok lets take you first point about making stuff up. If you believe that performances anywhere near the last two we have given are going to be anywhere near good enough next season then you remain a rather deluded soul. The point Corky and myself were highlighting, was that at no point did I say the performances were good, or would be good enough for next season. It's seemingly a figment of your imagination that anyone actually said that. If you believe that performances anywhere near the last two we have given are going to be anywhere near good enough next season then you remain a rather deluded soul. As for trying to take the high ground on "how old are you", it's probably best to not do that when in the post before you refer to someone and say "remain a rather deluded soul"... especially when you make up some strange point, that they didn't actually make.
