jonthefox Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Following on from another thread. So who do you think deserves this title?. I suppose you have to remember , its not what they achieved in football, but what they did for us.
foxfanazer Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Waslhie for me Not technically the best but just loved him
jonthefox Posted 5 April 2014 Author Posted 5 April 2014 Without question, Junior Lewis. I said legend, not bellend.
LCFC1996 Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Walshie, no question about it, you can't not love him
suffolk fox Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Has to be Mr Leicester himself Gary Lineker. Great example and role model to younger kids. Never booked or sent off in his playing career.
Fox92 Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Gary Lineker? I know he didn't play as many games as others, but he did score goals at International Level and is England's second highest all time goalscorer. And helped the club from administration in 2002.
bovril Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Worthington, Walsh, Elliott. Probably overall Walsh as he was here for such a long time.
tartanowl Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Has to be Mr Leicester himself Gary Lineker. Great example and role model to younger kids. Never booked or sent off in his playing career. Incredible stat that and he was a top quality player.
Raj Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Walsh. Close thread.no one player has done and achieved so much for this club than Walsh. To say he bleeds LEicester wouldn't be that far from the truth.....now close thread!!!!!

fuchsntf Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 K.Weller...G.Cross..G.Banks...P.Shilton...M.Wallington...S.Walsh...F.Mcklintock...Rowley...I.King....sep.Smith.... and not forgetting..Davie Gibson. For loyalty, whos injuries stopped him becoming a top International > Ramsy's and Mercer's words<....M.Stringfellow. Legends, like any club we have a plenty, every fan from 10-100 yrs could take the above, and replace them with their own. 100k fans.... 100k opinions. Could I add Lenny Glover, S.Whitworth and I Didnt put G.Lineker
Bayfox Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Conrad. His loyalty knows no bounds. To stay at one club so long and show no desire to play has to be commended. I think in my lifetime only walshie comes close to being a legend.
fuchsntf Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Arthur Chandler takes some beating.Yup theres another and dont forget the Swanns, where he had scored 5 goals and 5 swanns flew over filbert street then a few minutes later a straggler Swann flew by and Arthur scored his 6th......Thats what LEGENDS are made of. 1928My dad and uncles preached that into me
Thracian Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Greatest legend? There's so many but Arthur Chandler, Graham Cross, Peter Shilton, Gary Lineker, Sep Smith and Davie Gibson would be right up there among the contenders. Cross played in a less glorious position than some of the others but really gave his heart and soul for the club every time I watched him - and he was some player, as well as being a county cricketer. Even on the heavyiest pitches, Cross was action-man personified.
Far Post Gerry Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Gotta be Walshie. Can come across as a bit of a knob sometimes, but he is "Mr Leicester", and that goal against Derby made him a legend. And you need a 'moment' to be a legend. Beckham's free kick v Greece, Bobby Moore's tackle v Brazil. No-one else (in my lifetime) has done that for city. Heskey, Claridge scored dramatic goals of course, but I wouldn't put them in the same bracket.
fox123 Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 It could of been Cruyff! I'm going for Lineker and Walsh!
shen Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Heskey deserves a mention. A youth product who was superb for us, got us the highest ever fee and he invested..was it £500k? to our club when we were in the mire. Any mention of the Birch?
MalarkyR Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Yup theres another and dont forget the Swanns, where he had scored 5 goals and 5 swanns flew over filbert street then a few minutes later a straggler Swann flew by and Arthur scored his 6th......Thats what LEGENDS are made of. 1928 My dad and uncles preached that into me Are you this guy? http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Face-goal-floodlight-failure-Foxes-farces/story-20372835-detail/story.html
