Thefoxman Posted 7 April 2014 Author Posted 7 April 2014 http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01vqsb8 1 hr 26 m 50 s in to the program It's not working typical
LCCFox96 Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Say what you want about Stringer but he loves the club. This. Can't fault the guy's commitment to the club.
dbtcity Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 I can't believe so many give him a hard time, whenever I'm unable to make a game I enjoy listening to his commentary and i think he does a decent job
StanSP Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Don't know if he's suggested it or someone else has suggested it, but on his Twitter he's asking if we should do the mobile phone/light thing on 10 minutes tomorrow night to signify 10 years away from the Premier League. Bombard him with 'NO' tweets in reply to this! It'll look so tinpot .
RoboFox Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 I can't believe so many give him a hard time, whenever I'm unable to make a game I enjoy listening to his commentary and i think he does a decent job I agree, especially when compared to some other regional commentators. He's a bit of a wally but he injects some humour into the commentary. Besides, you can't fault the guy's passion for the club. If anything he deserves credit for putting up with Alan Young's nonsensical ramblings week-in, week-out.
5waller5 Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 If he commentated on the match instead of his constant awkward sycophantic "banter", and interviewed with an interest in the person he was interviewing, rather than proving what a smart arse he is then I may have more time for him. Until then I'll just think he's a tosser.
Munshi Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Iv just told Stringer 'NO' on twitter, that really would be awful.
Fatty Arbuckle Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Don't know if he's suggested it or someone else has suggested it, but on his Twitter he's asking if we should do the mobile phone/light thing on 10 minutes tomorrow night to signify 10 years away from the Premier League. Bombard him with 'NO' tweets in reply to this! It'll look so tinpot . We should do it in the 107th minute to signify how many points we're going to get.
BoyJones Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Clearly an ardent City fan, but always comes across as a right plonker, personally think him and Youngy sound totally unprofessional - I always wonder how they both got their jobs. Never listen to them anymore.
Spudulike Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Stringer and Youngy are the best thing to happen to RL commentary.
nlukka Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 For those that listened to the Forest away match on the radio, we've heard the alternative...Jason Bourne. The grass isn't always greener, as they say.
-blue- Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Anyone who has had the privilege of seeing Alan Young play for City will forgive the occasional self indulgent ramble. The man was a fooking great number 9.
Big Dave Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 This. Can't fault the guy's commitment to the club. It always makes me laugh though because he often states that he is an impartial, unbiased sports journalist.
RoboFox Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 For those that listened to the Forest away match on the radio, we've heard the alternative...Jason Bourne. The grass isn't always greener, as they say. Jason Bourne's voice after 10 minutes...:
Dickov22 Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 As a commentator Stringer is excellent. Alan Young really knows his stuff too.
