ivarti Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 As a scout in Scandinavia I have over the years recomended players to Leicester from time to time. two of them were very young unknown players, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Kim Kallstrom, both teenagers at the time playing in Sweden, and almost unknown outside Scandinavia. Branimir Hrgota is a name that I will recomend for Leicester City, we will see in a year or two how good this player will be, but he is one with a bright future. The manager in charge turning down Kallstrom and Ibrahimovic was Peter Taylor, and his staff or members, great judgment.
HEGGSY Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Yeah but, he signed Junior Lewis and Ade Akinbyi Every cloud and all that.
Happy Fox Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Ivarti where have you been pal?, Dan Petrescu come on down....

Tuna Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 takes me back to Championship Manager 00/01 & 01/02 them names Kennedy Bakircioglu!
Iwan is a Welshman Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Kennedy Bakircioglu! What a signing he was.
ivarti Posted 12 April 2014 Author Posted 12 April 2014 Because I believe that Branimir Hrgota could be the next great Swedish player in European football. He is at the moment playing in Borussia Monchengladbach and one City manager Nigel Pearson should have a Close look at. The future for City is to do what Klopp has done at Dortmund, bringing in players With the right potential !!!

Do you have any official capacity at City or do you just recommend players to them on a punt?
Babylon Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Do you have any official capacity at City or do you just recommend players to them on a punt?I'm guessing punt. Not a surprise people ignored it.
Sir Shep Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 So many great players from Scandinavia, I'm surprised we haven't looked at more players from these countries. Mind you none could hold a light to Kaamark.
lgfualol Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 To be fair to Leicester, we didn't know how big Zlatan's nose was going to get.
ivarti Posted 12 April 2014 Author Posted 12 April 2014 I had official contact with Alan Hill, had a couple of Meetings with him, but he moved on. A good youth academy director at Leicester. I met him twice at the training ground, but that was after Peter Taylor left, he saw a potential, something Taylor never did, so surely would been great to work Closer with the Club, but when Hill left, contact stopped in a way. As a long time City supporter it was sad to lose official contact. Was a bit of contact during the Svennis period, but he had no approach what so ever regarding Scandinavian talent, only looking for players on upper shelfes, where I am not able to help, sorry ! Approach and how players end up here and there are often coincidence, but Clubs in the Championship and Premier League in England are unique and teams that compete with most Clubs in Europe when it comes to Financial muscles and popularity, so they really don't know how much they could attract the best players in Scandinavia.
ivarti Posted 12 April 2014 Author Posted 12 April 2014 To the signings done by City managers including Nigel Pearson, you start to Wonder why some players end up at Leicester City, pity but again NP has done some great business in the transfer market in recent years. Then again most of the best players City have brought forward are from their own backyard, should look more there I think. Surely an area like Leicestershire with Close to 1 million People should be able to produce 1 or 2 good footballers every year.
ivarti Posted 12 April 2014 Author Posted 12 April 2014 I am currently working as a commentator for Bundesliga by a number of broadcasters, and my knowledge of the League is good, so maybe the Club again will be in contact, Nice to be of use. Have a UEFA B Licence as a Coach and worked for the Norwegian FA, so this is not just a comment done for fun, but to show fans that fans also can be of use, because fans are in all type of packages and background.
ivarti Posted 12 April 2014 Author Posted 12 April 2014 I don't know, since recomending players as a scout, you don't tell everyone to who to buy. It is exclusive and then you decide and make an approach, getting a bond and going for it. It's like a window opening one day, but Leicester was not interesting in a talk and going forward to try to approach the player, so you recomend, then if a Club turns it Down, you just move on. I would not recomend any player to another Club in England than Leicester, because that would not be correct, since I support Leicester and no one else in England. So for England only Leicester is my option. Most of my work now a days are working Closer with smaller clubs over here.

Surely you just need to put this CV before Steve Walsh and if he ignores your recommendation that is his loss.
Xen Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 They say there's strength in numbers, so if they ignore you again, maybe we could start a petition to sign this player....
muzzy1981 Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Very interesting, drop the club a bell in your professional capacity and make a recommendation, likely to get a better response from Pearsons management rather than Taylor the turnip! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
VLC86 Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Your doing it all wrong matey, You need to start a petition. It worked wonders for us trying to resign Miguel Vitor!
