Tielemans63 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 At the end of the day, its been a disappointing week and two poor performances but we've got 90 points after 42 games, we're 7 clear and we've set a new record for unbeaten away games. I'd take that anytime.
Carl the Llama Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 I doubt anyone will be too negative after that. Whats to be negative about? Just wait.
Guest ttfn Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 That was fine. Not good, but fine. Looked like a game between two sides hoping to scrape into the play-offs
Fox92 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 I think I would have taken a point before the match. We've won at QPR, at Derby, at Burnley and avoided defeat at Wigan and Reading.
Pegosteve Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Had us down for a point here anyway. If anyone can get negative with where we are at this stage of the season then I am at a loss!
Leeds_Fox95 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 I'd rather take a point than loose! Anyone whose negative about the RESULT needs to have a word...the performance is a different story!
Tuna Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Poor performance? We played well against a good team. Unlucky not to win, wasteful with our chances.
Jace Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 After years of disastrous performances against Reading I would take a draw every time
Leeds_Fox95 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Poor performance? We played well against a good team. Unlucky not to win, wasteful with our chances. Well I'd say it was a sh*t performance...maybe I'm setting my standards too high...
Swarles Barkley Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 I doubt anyone will be too negative after that. This your first time on foxestalk?
Unabomber Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Well I'd say it was a sh*t performance...maybe I'm setting my standards too high... Yeah I would say so. This your first time on foxestalk? Yeah why what can I expect?
Simmo86 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Well I'd say it was a sh*t performance...maybe I'm setting my standards too high... Spoilt
Guest ttfn Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Yeah I would say so. Yeah why what can I expect? Do yourself a favour, stay away from TBJS.
ceredigion Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 The title is already in the bag. Burnley won't get 8 points from their last 4 games and they've got the jitters. They're much more worried about fending off Derby and QPR than they are about catching us. However, we don't want to end the season with a series of sub-standard performances and results. It won't bode well for next season when every point will count. The last 2 games have been disappointing because a clutch of club records were within reach. particularly reaching 100 points which few clubs have ever done. We can still do that but we'll need 3 wins and a draw from the last 4 games. Knowing us, we'll probably win 3 and lose 1 and end up on 99 points which is a pity because we will never have a better chance of getting into triple figures. But these things will always matter more to fans than to the players and management.
MattGamble92 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 It was a solid away performance with enough chances to win it. The difference is people have been spoilt this season and expect us to turn up and win by 4 or 5. It's also amazing what a goal can do. If we win that 2-1 it suddenly becomes a great ground out result, at 1-1 people pick the bones out of it
Carl the Llama Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 People seem to have inflated their expectations out of measure with our recent promotion. Just because we're officially a premier league team now, it doesn't mean we have a divine right to win away to a top 6 team battling for the final playoff spot. I think it's also worth mentioning to those same people right now that now that we're back in the top tier, we aren't suddenly the same Leicester we remember from the 90s, prepare yourselves now for a below top 10 finish. Now that now that.

The line between a good result and a poor one is often so thin.
Jobyfox Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Imagine if this was our first game of the season - we'd be happy with a point away at Reading. Even half way through the season we'd be fairly pleased with the result. Now we've won the league with six games to go it almost feels like disappoint to draw away to a team who were expected to challenge for promotion. Our expectations are unrealistically raised. We have proven over 42 games that we are the best in this division, but we are not yet a Premier League side with a Premier League squad. The challenge to become one comes next season.
theessexfox Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Can't complain about a point away at play-off challengers after WE'VE WON PROMOTION. We were poor in spells tonight but equally we were good in fits and bursts and overall were the better side.
Corky Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Burnley- Won 2-0 Derby- Won 1-0 QPR- Won 1-0 Wigan- Drew 2-2 Reading- Drew 1-1 11 points from five away games against the rest of the top six, no defeats. That is some record.
Bert Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 I think more to the point it's the fact that we've had such a good season we're coming away disappointed not to have won against a playoff chasing team at a ground where we have a pretty poor record at.
fuchsntf Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Another point many people forget...when we was on that great unbeaten run, we didnt play brilliant ,outstanding, untouchable football...Weve been the best team in the league, nomore, no less. Sometimes we were fluent, somtimes grinding out, sometimes fortunate, sometimes we played beautifully.
