There was the slovakian we signed on a pre-contract, only to cancel it before he arrived if that's who you're thinking of.

Finally one I had completely forgotten about, a winger on loan from Sunderland in 2006, Andy welsh. Who I remember scoring quite an important goal in 2006. Fulop is recovering from cancer!
