brisfox Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 Now we are in the Prem, do you think the owners will be looking at building on the the KP or do you think they may wait a couple of years? Anybody got an idea of the cost or how much we would need to add
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 I would personally love to see the capacity increased. I'm sure 35-40000 wouldn't be out of our reach in the prem
Matt Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 No. Let's walk before we run, let's be rational and despite Davie G pulling me up on this before (And he's entitled to) but let's settle and become an established PL club first. Not only that let's consistantly sell out what we have first, once that is being done week in, week out maybe it'll be time to expand. I admit it'd be nice to give the stadium a little 'character' give it a tier here and there but if it's a load of empty seats it'd be an eyesore, pointless and not a very good investment.
stevelcfc Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 What are they going to build on it? A permanent Billy Bates fun fair, or so I 'erd
Babylon Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 Hopefully they'll put a temporary stand up.I don't know about you, but it feels like we've been here before.
Kitchandro Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 It doesn't necessarily need any capacity increase, certainly not at this point, times are too bad in English football to be that ambitious about our attendances. It will need major redevelopment one day though.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 What are they going to build on it? Probably barriers all around the pitch
65RosesFox Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 All it's missing is a few Balti Pie stands in each concourse.
Voll Blau Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 Now we are in the Prem, do you think the owners will be looking at building on the the KP or do you think they may wait a couple of years? Anybody got an idea of the cost or how much we would need to add Convert the Kop to a safe standing area. Job's a good'un.
I blame Wellens Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 I think we should build a moat so we have an excuse to be the only promoted club not to have a pitch invasion.
Yojoe36 Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 Funny how a ground that was supposedly built for the Premier League needs redevelopment when it's only about to have it's second season in it.
davieG Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 I think to justify any extension it needs to include a lot of 'non-football' facilities, big, better conference suites and restaurant certainly another load of executive boxes anything that can bring in business in the close season and to cover costs should we see a collapse in football attendances.
tylesta Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 i know it aint much but its a few extra seats for us. cutting the away allocation to 2000,
Jace Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 I'm sure it won't be long until they consider adding an additional tier to the east stand if we regularly sell out in the Premiership
Istilllovefilbert Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 I thought it was built with a" just add on" for extra capacity in mind. Or did I dream that?
Webbo Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 i know it aint much but its a few extra seats for us. cutting the away allocation to 2000, I think it's in the rules that you have to have 15% for away fans.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 I thought it was built with a" just add on" for extra capacity in mind. Or did I dream that?No that sounds about right from what I remember aswell
lgfualol Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 Not if they charge what is rumoured for new ST holders
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 Not being funny but wonder if the owners would consider turning KP into a leisure village with hotels, casino etc... but I suppose space maybe at a premium around the stadium???
DennisNedry Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 There's no point going to all the expense if we end up relegated next season. If we become an established side and sell out often then maybe.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 Fvck waiting lets have some fvcking ambition for a change #justsaying.com#
