MGLCFC Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Much better than the normal Monday night drivel. He was never going to give too much away, but at least he gave an insight into some of the questions that were posed.
Lionator Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Too many callers who liked the sound of their own voice, too many questions we knew answers to and too many questions he was never going to answer. Nice to hear from him, just not sure we learnt a lot. The congratulations at the start of each call got a bit tedious. It wasted valuable loving time.
Kitchandro Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Can we have a mini version of these for use in the Player Ratings threads? 7 Nigels out of 10. Hahaha this would be amazing!
MC Prussian Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 This comedy moment at the very end: Stringer: "Nigel Pearson will be back for another Q&A at one point..." Pearson moans whilst walking away.
JasonBourne1986 Posted 1 May 2014 Posted 1 May 2014 Thanks for all the questions (and feedback!) to Monday's show. We hope to get Nigel back in again soon.
LCFC FOX Posted 1 May 2014 Posted 1 May 2014 Every week would be nice Jason, call it the Nigel Pearson show and then you can do the football forum on Thursday nights instead
StanSP Posted 1 May 2014 Posted 1 May 2014 Every week would be nice Jason, call it the Nigel Pearson show and then you can do the football forum on Thursday nights instead That'd soon become quite tiresome I think. Keep it a novelty. I don't know the current history, but I'd like more former players (fans favourites especially) on the show more. Or maybe some different perspectives from various people behind the scenes at the club.

We've tried to introduce different guests whether it be people like Arlo White, Gary Newbon or Geoff Peters from the media, ex managers/players such as Micky Adams and having fans in the studio. The show with Micky especially received good feedback and it seems that having former players/managers as guests is something that appears to go down well with listeners. We'd like to do more of that kind of thing. I know we're not going to please everyone all the time on the show so always appreciate constructive feedback. Cheers!

I remember the Micky Adams interview too and thought it was very good. You'll never going to please everyone, I agree. But I think that'd be the case with every other single fan-base in the country. Simply for personal reasons, I'd love to hear Muzzy Izzet (favourite player) on the show. Or Emile Heskey. Has there ever been an attempt to get them on the show?

totbl Posted 1 May 2014 Posted 1 May 2014 Does anyone have a rip of the Micky Adams interview? Unavailable on Radio Leicester website, would like to hear this. Does he still talk about himself in the third person?

Hi Jason Only thing I dislike about the after game coverage is the same callers you have on. That Ross from Sheffield is a right nob and makes it on week in week out. Plus there is a middle aged bloke that also rings up I think he fancies Alan Young.

It was alright to be honest, i think though some question in the final half an hour were pretty poor also Alan Young's absents was noticeable it would have been great to have heard a couple of questions from big Al! How about having Chris Powell come in some time?!

I also liked the Adams show and do think its good having guests on. I have to listen to the podcast as I have no chance listening to it live with three kids running around, is there any chance of a season review/highlights podcast/show? I also think you should get sean dyche in on the forum for a Q&A. That could be interesting.

It'd be difficult to get Heskey into the studio with him being in Australia but, yes, he's someone we've considered to at least try to get on the phone.

Stadt Posted 2 May 2014 Posted 2 May 2014 Could you perhaps get an interview with Steve Walsh(the scout)?
