SSL, Whitbread and Taft also no news on Ignasi Miquel surely this is a position that will need strengthening, just wondering if anyone has any ideas

Its ok, apparently john terry is coming !

They never played regularly in the first-team.

Big Wes, Was, Moore. I'd say one more will be fine. But it isn't a priority. Other positions are.

1 athletic CB, to start. No point bringing in back ups, always aim to improve the XI. Gives us 4 good choices.

Isn't a priority?decent cross and it's in.2 at least

We need a new starting centre-back, a physically imposing defender who sticks his head on everything.

Wes and Was don't do that?!

Not top priority, then.

2 more CBs? Really? That's where you think we'll make signings. LB is priority. Either starter or back-up.

We've got at least 2 of them - we need a mobile defender who's going to be able to keep up with quick strikers.

Don't necessarily need pace at the back, although it helps. I'd go for either Ron Vlaar/Stefan de Vrij and ive heard Kaboul may he available should Spurs sign another cb, not sure he'd come to us. That Celtic centre half looksgood but again is being linked with big clubs. Johan Djorou, Hangeland, possibly Caulker, possibly Onuha, possibly Ake/ Zouma on loan

More worried about CB but yes left back as well and cover for de laet because Was and Moore are not good enough at Rback either

We need a Caulker/Zouma/Davies type that is fairly quick but good in the air too. Wesyl are too similar.

Whenever I hear or read Wes and Was i always think of Rob and Raz.

(Very obscure 90s pop reference)

Thanks.

Not always, no.

Okay. They're as physically imposing as you can get though, more so in Was' case. Who could we realistically get in instead of them?

John Anthony Brooks or Joel Veltman.

And no I don't have Football Manager, while my Fifa disc is currently unreadable.

Do you watch any eredivisie?

German & Holland football interest me the most, Holland probably mainly because I've always been a fan of their international team.

Veltman will more than likely be wanting Champions League Football, but it's worth a shout, just broke into the Dutch national team, so who knows.

Will be interesting to see how the Dutch defence cope at the World Cup, they weren't great in the Euro's when the likes of Martins Indi & Willems were just breaking through, two years down the line hopefully improvement has been made, but they are in a tough group.

Marc Wilson, Stoke, versatile, left footed, experienced.

Him and Nugent aren't the best of friends, both got sent home from a pompey pre season tour for swinging golf clubs at each other at 5 in the morning.
