Narborough_fox Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Amazing that at the end of the game United didn't have a single new signing on the pitch, despite having spent £150m+ on them.
Andy King Power Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 As the other have noted, let us hope that United still haven't got their crap together by the time we play them. Then again... wow, that United side, how they have fallen. That aura of fear has long since gone. They're starting to look like the old Man City before UAE ownership.
Sir Shep Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 I shouldn't worry about Man U for too long, I'm sure there will be "deals" going on with the football authorities involving some kind of Manila envelope in order to prevent them falling too far!
PerfumePonce Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 It will be typical if Man Utd's first win was against us... Not jinxing it or anything.
ScouseFox Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 In all seriousness, how low could this United side finish? They look bereft of any confidence or imagination. United used to have teams beaten before a ball was kicked but there's no fear factor anymore same as last season, 7th, maybe 6th if someone like everton or spurs has a bad season. they're a million miles off the top 4 but no matter how bad they are they'll do enough to finish above the 10/12 teams who are gonna spend most the season thinking about relegation. i'm biding my time but already want to go back to the start of this thread when everyone said they'd finish above liverpool.
Stevosevic Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 United have QPR at home next. I hope they win that so they are not looking for their first win against us.
foxfanazer Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 United have QPR at home next. I hope they win that so they are not looking for their first win against us. on the other hand it could boost their confidence
ADK Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 I'm not going to care what other teams are doing until later in the season.
Captain... Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Shocking fixture list, United get Sunderland, finished 17th, the 3 promoted clubs and Swansea in their first 5 fixtures. All the other big teams play each other, Arsenal vs Chelsea, Man City vs Liverpool, Everton getting Chelsea and Arsenal, Spurs vs Liverpool, Man City vs Arsenal and Man City Chelsea coming up in the first 5 rounds of fixtures. United could not have wished for a better fixture list and they are right royally fvcking it up.
Danno Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Mata is so poor physically and defensively. He has nothing to offer when the team aren't doing well. Can see why Mourinho got rid.

foxfanazer Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 People rave about Mata and Lukaku but if they were "world class" like people say they'd still be at ChelseaMourinho just always seems to get it right. I thought he was crazy to let Matt go who was arguably Chelsea's best player at the time
Harry - LCFC Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Foxestalk for you Almost the entirely footballing community you mean. Lets not pretend only FTers think Lukaku's decent.
Danno Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Almost the entirely footballing community you mean. Lets not pretend only FTers think Lukaku's decent.Well obviously he is decent, but he's not of the same quality of player that would be starting for Chelsea. Plus he is a whiny bitch who didn't want to fight for his place at Chelsea.
Fox92 Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Lukaku is a good enough Premier League player. I don't pay much attention to Mourinho, we releases his top scorer from last season and is now on the verge of signing Remy.
Danno Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 routledge's goal was a bit specialwaiting for the inevitable vine of it

Babylon Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 https://vine.co/v/OBhX2aMZn3Y He did well to connect with it like that as the ball was pretty high to strike it well.
foxfanazer Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Watched that Routledge goal a few times now and I still can't work out how his hit it
BlackburnClaret Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 You bunch of of miserable, miserly gets! Yes, United weren't great, but come on, we pressed and harried them all over the pitch and gave a great, solid display and on another day could have snatched it.
