surrifox Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Warnock said he'd never have let Puncheon take a penalty, even in training, or something along those lines after he missed at Spurs. Puncheon called him crooked and accused him of having players paid more so that they can bribe their way into his team. Also said it was rich talking about training cos Warnock never bothered to show up. Seems as though they get on well. I think that was the accusation which looked like going to m'learned friends to sort out
Manwell Pablo Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Get Puncheon down at Leicester immediately. I'd be getting a bid in, owl face surely can't keep a player that has publicly slated him!
AKCJ Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 I'd be getting a bid in, owl face surely can't keep a player that has publicly slated him! Didn't he keep Diouf after calling him a sewer rat?
Manwell Pablo Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Didn't he keep Diouf after calling him a sewer rat? Yeah but Warnock called Diouf a sewer rat? This is different, Puncheon has publicly slated Warnock.
Leicesterpool Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Pretty poor appointment for Palace, just proves how desperate they are, a huge step back for them. I guess they forgotten he did crap at Leeds.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Warnock might do ok there, i wouldnt back them to go down anyway. Him coming back adds some spice to the Premier this season!
Finnegan Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Anyone hear Parish on five live just now? Immensely prickly to the point of sounding like an aggressive chav.
ScouseFox Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 apparently last night was the 3703rd game in a row that united had a youth player in the squad. can't work out if that is an incredible stat or not. or who counted. shame the current youth appears to be quite so bad.

Not really a shame when we get all the good ones from them anyway
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Anyone hear Parish on five live just now? Immensely prickly to the point of sounding like an aggressive chav. I always expected him to speak quite eloquenty but he sounds like he should be necking Apple Sourz down the Vic before yakking up on Kat Slater.
Dan Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 What an absolutely hopeless and embarrassing appointment by Palace. The bloke's been finished for a while now. His football is dreadful and he seems to have lost his knack of being effective too. I am now certain we will finish above Palace.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Giroud out until at least January, click the link, first quoted sentence by Wenger is 'You'll ask who we'll buy to replace Giroud, at the moment, nobody' - a team that has needed a class striker or two for donkeys now loses the only real 'striker' they have, even if he isn't world class. Suppose Arsenal will just have to make do with the 4th place trophy again.

Ric Flair Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 I think Joel Campbell will be exceptional for them given time, but they need someone in proven before Monday. I can see them lobbing £25 million at Wilfried Bony.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Breaking news: it seems Sean Dyche is unhappy with paying transfer fees, never would have guessed as he takes pride in not discussing finances http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28951410
daddylonglegs Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 when all you have is a can of fanta and 8 pennies then you have a right to complain though
MC Prussian Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Sean Dyche: Market leader in the moaning department.
davieG Posted 28 August 2014 Author Posted 28 August 2014 Well he speaks a fair bit of truth but i guess the one thing he doesn't say and I suspect we're having the same problem to a slightly lesser degree is players don't want to go to clubs favourite to be relegated they'd sooner stay with a 'bigger' Championship club that has a decent chance of promotion.
Corky Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Burnley are no different to most clubs really, they have their own financial limit and won't go beyond it. Just happens to be lower than others. He's not alone in finding it tough to sign players, although they've signed three more players than us.
Captain... Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 What are the odds on Warnock's first signing being Paddy Kenny?
Kitchandro Posted 28 August 2014 Posted 28 August 2014 Looking at that list of Burnley's signings, he's had a mare.
