johnny the fox Posted 23 August 2014 Posted 23 August 2014 Don't think he will be there much longer... come home Lloyd..
ADK Posted 23 August 2014 Posted 23 August 2014 We have moved on. He is not a Premiership standard player. He's better than Schlupp and GTF imo.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 23 August 2014 Posted 23 August 2014 He's better than Schlupp and GTF imo. But nowhere near as good as knocky, mahrez or Albrighton Forget about him, he's left and is playing at the right level for his abilities
Jamiebux Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Heard in the news he's not happy with the manager at all! Maybe a year contract in the prem doesn't seem so bad now! Could have moved on in January if he wanted.
wight88 Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Clearly has some prima donna tendencies and remember him storming down the tunnel when he got subbed at brum last season, only takes a couple like that to sour a strong dressing room atmosphere.
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Couldn't help but keep thinking that yesterday would have been Dyers and Vardys gameForgetting football for a second though, Dyer has kids to feed and would a one year deal have increased his wages to a point where after one year and we are still in the prem, no lower league club could afford him nor would he want to drop his wagesThere are Pros and Cons for every reason he decided to not stay at the club, although a loan deal back to Leicester would make me spuff myself with excitement. MAKE IT HAPPEN NIGE!
shade Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 meh, assume he was on 10k a week, that's 520k a year, take home 300k odd. no sympathy at all.
ADK Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 If he didn't get another contract next year he could sign somewhere else for whatever he wanted....
Webbo Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 If he didn't get another contract next year he could sign somewhere else for whatever he wanted.... Assuming he didn't get a career ending injury. He's also probably get less the following year as well. It makes sense for him to want the security of a 2 year contract.
ADK Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Sure it makes sense. But it also makes sense that we'd offer him less per year. One way or another, someone seems to have been a bit silly. Whether that's the club or Dyer, we won't ever know.
MPH Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Clearly has some prima donna tendencies and remember him storming down the tunnel when he got subbed at brum last season, only takes a couple like that to sour a strong dressing room atmosphere. Nothing wrong with a player being upset at being substituted........ Shows he has a hunger and desire to play..... Surely that's a plus?
shade Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Nothing wrong with a player being upset at being substituted........ Shows he has a hunger and desire to play..... Surely that's a plus? no it shows disrespect, no player is ever happy but they don't kick up a fuss.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 no it shows disrespect, no player is ever happy but they don't kick up a fuss. But he is probably frustrated about not starting as he believes he is better than others at the club.
BigMicky Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 no it shows disrespect, no player is ever happy but they don't kick up a fuss. You are wrong, no manager wants to see a player happy at being substituted.
Fox92 Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 We have moved on. He is not a Premiership standard player. Can't believe people are still talking about him Agree with both.
shade Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 You are wrong, no manager wants to see a player happy at being substituted. can you read?
Fox92 Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 He's better than Schlupp and GTF imo. Dyer has more pace than GTF, but GTF has the better footballing brain and is a better footballer.
gerrytaggart Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 no it shows disrespect, no player is ever happy but they don't kick up a fuss.Towards the end of my sunday league youth football 'career' I was sometimes overjoyed to be subbed off.
Stuliasz Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 I was gutted to see Dyer go and I'm still disappointed he chose not to stick with us for at least this year. However he's gone and we need to move on, not dwell on the fact he's not here or take pleasure in any kind of misfortune he's having at Watford.

Stuliasz Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Who is taking any pleasure in it? Some of the comments seem to have that undertone, in that he's almost getting his just desserts for choosing to move to Watford over us.
PerfumePonce Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 I wish he'd stayed but I'm not that bothered anymore. In the same way I'm not that bothered about Watford anymore.
