foxes_rule1978 Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Going to bed with a big smile on my face thanks to the Dutch, this World Cup has just started
Leicesterpool Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Wow what a shock, most of us said Spain could be on a downer in this tournament. But what a performance by the dutch.
martyn Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/94285-daryl-janmaat/?hl=janmaat I don't think anyone was taking it too seriously!
One Legged Beaver Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Holland seriously surprised me with that, thought they would struggle to qualify ahead of Spain or Chile. Boy was I wrong.
AKCJ Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 That was the most enjoyable game of football I think I've ever watched as a neutral. Obviously there have been results I've enjoyed more, but Holland played the perfect game.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Holland seriously surprised me with that, thought they would struggle to qualify ahead of Spain or Chile. Boy was I wrong. Spain will be struggling to qualify now, chile get three points tonight and then a point at Spain, with Spain getting battered by the Dutch chile surely won't get beat by a bigger scoreline...
Vacamion Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 I said at the start I wanted the Dutch to win, my Mrs said she was supporting Spain. Pleasing. Great game to watch.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Still shocked... When Chile stuff Spain, they will be back to their normal elimation at the group stages
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Gotta get De Gea in, Casillas was horrific.
fox123 Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 At 1-1 my missus told me to fvck off down the pub because she wanted to watch Big Brother. No problem I said, and what a game that was. I;d rather face the Spanish in that form in the quarters than the Brazilians or Dutch. Why's my typing in italic? Pissed I maybe, but I'm sure my typing aint wonky.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Time for Torres to retire... how on earth does anyone still rate him, he is burnt out and his best years have been behind him sice living Liverpool
Bayfox Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 How could anyone put on 5-1 , should only be small amounts hehe Reading on berts twitter someone managed to get 7quid on 5-1 on betfair or one of the exchange sites at 999/1. **** my.

Kitchandro Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Wow. One of the most memorable results in World Cup history.
Riyad_Suarez Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Well boys and girls, as a proud Dutchman thst felt quite a bit like Watford away. Such a different performance to Leicester v Watford, a counter attacking masterclass, but no less satisfying! My ridiculous tenner on us to win the world cup @ 28-1 looks slightly less ridiculous now. There's still a very long way to go though.
Dan Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Absolutely astonishing. I've given up on Fantasy Football already. I've got Casillas, Juanfran, Ramos and Pique lol lol relied on Spain not blowing this fixture and they've done so in serious style. I still don't buy that this is anywhere near finished for Spain. Holland have always been one of these sides who when they turn up - they're sensational. Robben sums them up. On his day he's up there with anyone. The amazing thing really is Spain could've had that sealed by half time. They were in total control. I don't believe 'tiki-taka' has been completely sussed but I definitely think certain aspects need a revamp. That was laughable from Del Bosque.

Maybe if they give it a go instead of the awful get the ball to Costa quick tactics they employed tonight we might find out.
BoneDog Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Can't believe I had to listen to this on the radio. Was just getting ready to watch and something came up so I had to nip out. Was laughing like a nutter in the car at some of the action on Talksport. Seen the van Persie header since and it was a thing of beauty.
