foxfanazer Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 One of the best world cup performances I've ever seen
The Doctor Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 How do you plant your foot on a moving foot it's impossible. You have to plant your foot on turf currently unoccupied by the foot in question it is actually impossible . Watch it again - his foot is not on the turf, it goes on top of vlaar has he slides past.
Guest ttfn Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 How do you plant your foot on a moving foot it's impossible. You have to plant your foot on turf currently unoccupied by the foot in question it is actually impossible . It's like when footballers pass to a player who is moving. They have to pass to a space currently unoccupied by the player in question it is actually impossible. (I actually agree it's not a dive, I just thought it was a weird bit of rationale):
martyn Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Feel a bit sorry for Casillas Doubt he and Xavi (anonymous) will play again.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Than god teams have figured out how to play against Spain and Barca, we can now watch exciting teams win it for once
Guest ttfn Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 To be completely honest I've never really "got" Robben. To me he's always been a really top-end player but not one of the absolute elite. But this. This is absolutely extraordinary.
ScouseFox Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Feel a bit sorry for Casillas Doubt he and Xavi (anonymous) will play again. tbh if it wasn't for the slow mo shots of him looking upset and confused id have absolutely no idea xavi was even playing
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Watch it again - his foot is not on the turf, it goes on top of vlaar has he slides past. We're going round in circles here. I'm not saying he hits turf, that is impossible to plant your foot on a moving foot. It's also pointless he's clearly impeded but only because he's put his thrown his foot into a reckless sliding challange that he could quite easily of avoided that's the crux of it.

This is absolutely extraordinary. I think he is one of the elite in all honesty. Bayern was a great move for him

This is absolutely extraordinary. I've always been the other way in saying that on his day he is one of the few in the world who can match Ronaldo, messi etc and always been (probably quite rightly) ridiculed for it. He has annihilated Spain tonight and twice made Casillas, Ramos and pique look like absolute fools.
MooseBreath Posted 13 June 2014 Posted 13 June 2014 Holland have been pretty brutal, but spain have been piss-weak, in every respect. Astonishing stuff. World cup is go.
