FIFA Ban Beckenbauer For 90 Days

Why? Nobody bans my second footballing hero (after Frankie W ;) ). I hope for FIFA's sake it is serious.

The above explains why he was banned. This presumably means that someone who could help the inquiry can refuse to co-operate without an effective sanction. It's time FIFA ensures executive committee members have a lifelong duty to co-operate with any future enquiries

Find a scapegoat.

If he can't answer questions he must have something to hide.

By no way am I saying he has done anything wrong.

But he may have mates that have.

I would so love this to be taken to a court and all the shite removed.

A deep clean is required and then it needs to be made more transparent.

Jobs for the boys more like jobs for some that want to take.

What did you say?! Was it a conspiracy or summin?

Bastard Mods

I said his refusal to cooperate just shows he has something he wants to hide, i.e corruption.

Always a conspiracy. I got banned for two days for making a negative comment about Ukip lol

I got told off for suggesting someone was bribed the other day.

Freedom of speech is a complicated notion.

You can moan all you like about deleted posts but any that accuse without evidence anyone of a crime, whether it be a blatant statement or hinted will see their post deleted.

It's not you that will suffer any consequences but the forum owner Mark, now if you're prepared to guarantee to pay any possible legal bills or fines on his behalf he may allow you some leverage but until then if you want to state potentially libellous comments I suggest you start up you're own forum and take that risk on.

He's already received legal threats re other subjects which he's had to produce written apologies.

PS This as always with moderating wont be applied consistently because it can be subjective and the Mods and Admin could view any statements differently.

So is libel.

Are there any guidelines for this, can we use allegedly like they do on Have I got news for you?

Or have as part of our signature a disclaimer saying the views expressed within are our own and not representative of Foxestalk?

It is an interesting case. I'm amazed that People have contacted Mark over comments on here.

That's the problem with slander it's very subjective, based on previous cases I'm not convinced any disclaimer would work and at best would still be subjective.

You have to ask youself is it worth the risk to allow posters to make these comments, for example in this topic does it really add anything worthwhile to the debate. Mark, and based on experience obviously thinks not and the mods/admin need to support his tske on it.

.....and yes they have.

I once had a comment deleted for saying I would like to see Miquel signed, then it was deleted 2 times again then I got banned for a day. Did Miquel's agent complain or something?

This was in the Miquel post on the transfer section.

That was probably because no one can pronounce your user name :P

Other than that I've no idea so can't comment on it.
