Eskay Posted 25 June 2014 Posted 25 June 2014 I saw Alan Young (and a few others!) at the Kasabian gig on Saturday. Had a small chat about next season etc. He said that Pearson and Nuge had signed new deals but didn't know why it hadn't been announced. News is coming through now about Pearson's deal....hopefully Nuge will be announced shortly. He also said he didn't think there would be more than another 2 signings.
Asherz Posted 25 June 2014 Posted 25 June 2014 ... You all was calling him god lastbseason now your willing to slate him. Yes prem is a step up and yes he had been given notna full chance before .. Redknapp dint give him. Lookin at portsmouth so would hit confidence . And burnley only had him on loan for the season so dint know there tactical play. Plus he is one player inam sure footballs about all 11 players . If he gets 5-10 goals a season they will be valuable goals that may mean the differance between stayin up and going down
Jon25747 Posted 25 June 2014 Posted 25 June 2014 Your claim that he will be setting up goals all day long is embarrassing. He's Nugent not Navas. He was top assister last season
Guest Col city fan Posted 25 June 2014 Posted 25 June 2014 He was top assister last season And (I think) the second top assister the season before..
Guest Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 Rob Tanner's tweeted tonight saying "More good news for LCFC fans in tomorrow's Mercury regarding Nugent." which presumably can only mean he's signed a contract
Molson Canadian Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11712/9363597/leicesters-top-scorer-david-nugent-and-captain-wes-morgan-close-to-signing-new-deals New deal coming soon.....
Babylon Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 And (I think) the second top assister the season before.. And the top assister the season before that!
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 Hope he signs, but how many starts will he make? I believe we will need, and sign, a proven top level striker.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 Agent Fox must feel like someone's taken a dump in his Ready Brek.
CountesthorpeFox Posted 28 June 2014 Posted 28 June 2014 Why has he spuffed £400k on a house in countesthorpe? No offence but I can think of 10 places more attractive to live in leicestershire than there. go on then?
sylofox Posted 28 June 2014 Posted 28 June 2014 All the surrounding villages The two Peatlings, Arnesby, Shearsby, Gilmorton, Saddington. Burton Overy. Any of the five Langtons and Welham to start with. If I had the money thats where I would look oh and Willoughby.

If I had the money thats where I would look oh and Willoughby. All the surrounding villages Depends how you look at it . . Quality of life isn't just a big house and some nice surroundings . . access to amenities, transport links (closeness to the motorway junction 21 etc), proximity to the centre and training ground, schools . . . Call me bias but Countesthorpe has a very good mix on most fronts and while there are more picturesque areas of the county, no doubt, that doesn't mean they are better places to live. that said, the original post was in relation to how attractive the place was, so I guess they weren't talking about that anyway! Anyway my point is that I can understand why he'd live there . .

I would also definite add, as a temporary Countesthorpe resident, if you desire decent broadband speeds as well then I'd count that as an amenity that would be lacking the further into the more picturesque villages and away from the telephone exchanges.

PAPA LAZAROU Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 And it's just a stones throw from the exiting shopping mall at South Wigston.
suffolk fox Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 Christ! Nugent thread turns into my house is bigger than your house thread? Snobs all of yer!

StevieLCFCmad Posted 3 July 2014 Posted 3 July 2014 So the guy is on a free and probably has a host of options for better money as they wouldn't have to pay a transfer fee. Looks like he actually wants to play for us, likes the area and all he wants is the security for his family of a 3 year deal, it's not like he is 33! Come on LCFC, you'd offer 3 years to a striker that you had to pay £5m for, so why not Nuge?? No brainer!

If we have ambitions of progressing in the Premier League then a 3 year deal for Nugent would be stupid. We can afford him to be a squad player in his second season but third season when he's dead wood (aka Gallagher?).. Nope. Same dilemma as Dyer.
LCFC31 Posted 3 July 2014 Posted 3 July 2014 Hes a poor player get rid of him and sign a big money player FFS were going down at this rate pearson sort it Unbelievable.
