SOCCERROO FOX Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 I think we will get smashed 4 or 5 zip if not more but I don't care I'm pumped and just glad we are at the World Cup, just want my boys do us proud and show some Ticker.
Ric Flair Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Doesn't look promising for you boys but I doubt it'll be as bigger margin as the Spain/Holland game so that's a plus point. They might rest RVP by all accounts but there's still Robben to worry about who was frightening against Spain. I think they'll beat you 3-0

I didn't see all of your match v. Chile, but from what I did see, Australia looked a better team than I was expecting. If you perform like that again, I'd expect you to lose, but not to be humiliated by any means.

Look we were better but we have a mostly inexperienced and young side and when down 2 nil after 15 we just decided to have a crack and be more physical. Can't see the Dutch letting us do that. My mood is on a downer already despite the 15 beers I've already had watching the rugby I've just gone to set up the new TV I've brought for the game/epl season and the screen is already smashed.

What, are they 0.5 proof or something?
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 18 June 2014 Author Posted 18 June 2014 15? What, are they 0.5 proof or something? I have no idea what that means! It's only a Wednesday night and I got work a few hours after the game so I'm taking it relatively easy
Fox92 Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Sorry Soccerroo, can't see anything than a Holland win. Might be a big margin as well, suppose it depends how they turn up.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 18 June 2014 Author Posted 18 June 2014 I expect us to get rolled by a heavy margin, just re watched the highlights of Australia v Japan in Kaiserslatuen in 2006 fair to say I'm buzzing at the moment even tho I expect a flogging. I guess spending most of your childhood not being in the cup makes you appreciate being there.
Focks Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 I'll tell you what, as a favour I'll bet on a Holland win, theres something supernatural about my ability to lose money on a bet! If you'd like a clean sheet I'll go for Holland to score at any time
StanSP Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Sorry, Roo, but I think despite all the grit and determination you'll show, it won't be enough by a long way. Think you were harshly beaten by Chile. Deserved more from that but Netherlands seem to be better than Chile. They'll be on a huge high after the Spain game. Could be looking at 4 or 5-0 here.

Purely by chance....applied for tickets via the FIFA lottery and got that one. 0-1 down, 3-1 up with 2 late goals by Cahill, if I remember correctly. Enjoyable match, even as a neutral.
MooseBreath Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Only way Australia are getting anything out of this is if they attempt to entice the dutch off the pitch to a nearby beach barbeque where everyone is standing around eating shrimp and saying maaaate, and lou carpenter is there reliving the moment when he tried to get a quick nosh in with susan Kennedy
Carl the Llama Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 I have no idea what that means! It's only a Wednesday night and I got work a few hours after the game so I'm taking it relatively easy I'm saying that's a cackload of beer and suggesting they have a negligible alcohol content. At the best of times I have to call it a night after 8 33cl bottles, and usually I can't even manage that much! (Granted they're Belgian beers but still...)
shen Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 I've gone for an anti-climactic 1-0 Dutch win in the head-to-head competition with the boss. So here's hoping for a full-blooded performance by the Aussies!
Fox92 Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Got money on Robben/4-0 double and Van Persie/6-0 double ...
kingfox Posted 18 June 2014 Posted 18 June 2014 Australia didn't do too bad in the second half against Chile, they made a fight of it until the last minute, when that goal killed them off. But Robben & Van Persie look in incredible form, they should annihilate the Aussie defence. 4-0 to the Dutch.
