Soar Fox Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 Or maybe Knockaert wanted to keep 24 as his own after using it at Guingamp and here? Our owners should have known we would of sold thousands of Knockaert 7 shirts in his own country. Malaysians love footballers who wear number 7.
Raw Dykes Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 24 is a pretty wank number really though. Totally unFLAIR IMO. I agree. Seems like a reserve defender's number to me.

Fosse93 Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 We're more than fine at RB. I'd say it's one of our most covered positions. How? We only have one 'specialist' RB in the squad. Not counting Pearson.
teblin Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 How? We only have one 'specialist' RB in the squad. Not counting Pearson.Moore started as a RB. If im not mistaken. On Hammond, will only go if we sign an upgrade on him first.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 Moore started as a RB. If im not mistaken. On Hammond, will only go if we sign an upgrade on him first. I can see this happening if we follow up on 1 or both of the 2 Osasuna midfielders we've apparently been watching
Soar Fox Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 It's a good job their Thai then isn't it! Get out of my keep net.
Fosse93 Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 Moore started as a RB. If im not mistaken. On Hammond, will only go if we sign an upgrade on him first. Kasper started out as a striker In all seriousness though, Moore can 'do a job' at RB but say De Laet got injured we'd be fooked.
Carlos88LCFC Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 Get out of my keep net. I know any number with the number 4 in it is unlucky throughout Asia.. Not sure about Thailand but I know the Chinese hate the number... It means "Death" or something.... They miss out 4 14 24 34 40-49 etc etc in most buildings! So you have a point.... Though not what you meant! haha. 14 is the worst as it certain languages it sounds like "want to die" or something!... Maybe why we don't have a number 14 player. But I'm pretty sure not many Asians will have Drinkwater or Knockaert on their shirts!
teblin Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 I can see this happening if we follow up on 1 or both of the 2 Osasuna midfielders we've apparently been watching Players from Osasuna?
Dickov22 Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 I think Hammond's a decent footballer, I don't think he will go unless we have a better replacement lined up. I fancied him to start quite a few games this season, particularly away from home.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 Players from Osasuna? It's been mentioned on here that we've been watching Raoul Loe and Francisco Silva
MC Prussian Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 I can see this happening if we follow up on 1 or both of the 2 Osasuna midfielders we've apparently been watching I can't see any of the current Osasuna midfielders helping us in any way, apart from Lamah who could play left-wing - but he's just joined the club and is unlikely to leave again that soon.
teblin Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 It's been mentioned on here that we've been watching Raoul Loe and Francisco Silva Ahh ok. Just found the thread.
Jimothy Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 I've mentioned how I don't really want Hammond anywhere near the team this season before and got shot down for hating on the guy, but I don't, I appreciate what he brought to the squad last season, but I don't think he has the quality to help us in the premier league. I'm happy for this to happen if it means we can free up wages and a squad place for someone with a little bit more quality.
st albans fox Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 Wrong thread but RB is probably the weakest position in our squad. However, until we are established PL I doubt we are going to be able to get good cover in all positions. Good players will perhaps accept being cover in an established PL side but one which had just been promoted?

lgfualol Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 I joke about him a lot but no way should he go if we havent got a replacement or two signed up. Squad depth is worrying. I'd rather Hammond play than some reserve players.

I'd rather Hammond play than some reserve players. I was thinking the same yesterday. As soons as 1 or 2 player are out injured we look thin on the ground.
Fox92 Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 Nigel has already said players won't be leaving because the squad is already thin. Hammond gave us experience last season, on and off the pitch. He's always seemed to be one of those players that teams get rid of once they're promoted.
Brainy Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 I hope this means we can now make an offer for Mariusz Dedryuka from Legia Warsaw /kingfox
Aus Fox Posted 6 August 2014 Posted 6 August 2014 For some players such as Hammond, Konchesky and Upson it's not all about what they do on the pitch. We have overal a very young squad and with those three you know what you get, a good solid professional. Which is exactly what the likes of Knockaert Mahrez Moore Schluup etc need to see around the squad.
