It's part of being a football fan, I reckon. When a Club our size is linked to someone like Cambiasso who has pretty much won everything, then any information from anywhere adds to the excitement, regardless of the credibility of the source. The Cardozo thread was another example of this, in which the same story was rehashed in 10-15 different articles. When it's the other way around such as when Dyer left, fans can go into attack mode and claim that the tabloids know nothing about the story in question, because they're in denial and don't want to believe that it's true. I don't know if this makes sense at all, I'm a bit hungover today
