ZeljkoKalac1 Posted 29 August 2014 Posted 29 August 2014 In the trusted Martin O Neill formation. Kasper Kaamark, Walsh, Elliot, Moore, Guppy Lennon, Izzet, Drinkwater Heskey, Claridge Subs Keller Mattock (expecting stick off this one! but he was a good player when younger) Savage Knockaert Rooster Russell (you need a supersub!)

copunk Posted 29 August 2014 Posted 29 August 2014 GK- Kasper ( only just ahead of Kasey Keller) RB- Frank Sinclair ( own goals aside, he was a very good defender) CB- Steve Walsh ( no words needed) CB- Wes Morgan ( doubted the move when he first joined, what a t**t I was then, solid, reliable and gives his all) LB- Pontus Kaamark ( should probably be right back, but with big frank there, pontus slots in at left back, colossal defender) RM- Matty Piper ( short lived I know, but he showed so much promise in his short amount of time he was in the first team, can remember going to the carling cup game vs leeds on his debut, we got absolutely spanked 6-0 but he was superb, quick, could dribble past players, such a shame the way his career ended up) CM- Muzzy Izzet ( commited every game, didn't jump ship when we got relegated, genuinely cares about the club, legend) CM- Neil Lennon ( him and Muzzy knew each other inside out, worked perfectly together) LM- Steve Guppy ( haven't seen anyone who can produce crosses and deliver set pieces the way he could, on the nail every time, great winger) ST- Emile Heskey ( in his younger days, absolute animal, on his day one of the best strikers in the premier league, well in the late 90s anyway) ST- David Nugent ( doesn't get the credit he deserves some of the time, has been a great servant for us, and I hope he can produce the goods in the prem like he did in the championship for us) Subs - Keller, Matt Elliot,Liam Moore, Riyad Mahrez, Danny Drinkwater, Tony Cottee

Mad Dog Posted 29 August 2014 Posted 29 August 2014 Some odd ones and not picking my best team, but one I'd like from recent memory. Gilbert was a tank!! Grewks Posted 29 August 2014 Posted 29 August 2014 On a side not, amazing what a last minute winner can do for a player, in knockaert. With the exception of that, he has been rather average in my eyes. Maybe our fans just overrate him simply because he was the first 'flair' player the stereotype 'boring nige' bought?? Dyer and mahrez were far better last season, and to put him ahead the likes of guppy is a joke.

I'm sure the meaning of this thread was for people to post there line-up of there favourite Leicester players. So don't get offended if people put Knocky ahead of Guppy.
HesNotGudjonsonn2 Posted 29 August 2014 Posted 29 August 2014 I think who ever started this thread should wait until 100 replies and then post the 11 most chosen by the fans...get Tommy Wright part 1 in there.

iancognito Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Favourites Flowers (always looked like he'd stayed up til 2am but every bit as good a keeper as Seaman et al) Mills (so consistent, rarely made a mistake) Walsh (obvious - Mr Leicester City) Elliott (everyday bloke meets brick sh!thouse defender) Kaamark (superb consistent defender in about 3 positions, recently released Juninho from his back pocket) Lennon (deserved a place at a top 4 club, Lenny was MON's real driving force) Izzet (the diving header against Derby in the 4-0 win, played like he was in the playground and always with a smile) Dyer (tough call but he's probably made me get out of my seat more than any other player in recent years) Savage (because seeing someone run 40 yards to take man and ball and leave them in row B is worth the ticket price alone) Ooh Tommy Wright (the Little side was never the same after he left, just ghosted past defenders, when I was about 12 he WAS the best thing about football) Iwan Roberts (the 2 debut goals and watching defenders crap themselves when he jumped up with them....not to mention what he does When we play the Derby!) Bench: Dickov, Joachim, Collymore, Rooster, TJ, Poole, Ian Marshall, Claridge and Cottee
Dan Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Schmeichel De Laet - Elliott - Taggart - Berner Mahrez - Izzet - Drinkwater - Dyer Vardy - Nugent Subs; Fulop, Morgan, Moore, King, Knockaert, Fryatt, Yakubu There are different reasons for a lot of them. Not necessarily the best players we had. I must admit my memories on Izzet are very vague but he is THAT good he gets a place on there, as do Elliott and Taggart.
