It's good to know that not all of us are burying our heads in the sand and can identify we need 2 goalscorerers , for those who disagree I'd love to know which of our current strikers are going to score enough goals to keep us in the Barclays premier league

Vardy will score a few IMO. Not so sure when it comes to the others.

Based on the three games I've seen this season Ullua, Nugent and Vardy will cause problems and bag.

First deadline day in a while where I do think we will be busy. Id expect lots of rumors and maybe two signings

After today's game I'm not sure we need anybody. I don't think we will be busy at all. Nigel will go for a bike ride instead.

As others have said, I love Nuge and appreciate what he's done for us, but I'm not totally convinced he can be a top striker in the Premier League. I'd like to see us bring in another quality striker to give him competition and, if necessary, replace him as our first choice.

Doubt we will, though.

I see your point in relation to Nugent's finishing mentality which could improve. Even though today's chance would have gone in if it wasn't blocked he had time to take an extra touch which could have proved to be the difference of scoring and missing, and last week's miss was a case of Courtois making a good save and Nugent failing to go around him which would have resulted in a goal. He has the ability to finish, he just needs to improve on his mentality in these situations. If he does he could be a devastating attacker because his work rate is second to none.

Can't disagree on your point about his work rate, he really does put a lot in, but I think that's where the problem is.

He was invaluable to us last season and was a major driving force behind our promotion, and this season he seems to be putting just as much effort in. Problem we have though is if he isn't able to make that step up, do we stick with an average player who occasionally puts in an above average performance but definitely deserves to play for the team he helped get promoted, or do we replace him with someone who will get us more goals?

Heart says the former, head says the latter. Still, none of us are qualified to make that call after 3 games against top 7 sides, and I really hope he does manage to put a few away this season.

I reckon Nigel has got him playing more deep so far this season which might be preventing him from getting into the positions strikers like to be in. I get your point and I think he will struggle to get 10 goals this season but I don't think Pearson is in a rush to get someone else in, if the right players comes along at the right price than we will probably sign them. I just can't see Nigel getting dragged into the whole deadline day panic buy drama.

Can see someone coming in for Knocky but I think we'll keep him.

Also think we'll put in one serious money bid for a forward. Maybe someone like Deeney after his manager has gone.

I can honestly say after watching today's match, that with the two week break coming up and the injury situation nearly sorted, I would be very surprised if we did much business tomorrow.

The signing of Danny Simpson will be a welcome addition esp covering RDL. Maybe a cb and a striker if nige finds some quality at the right price.

Today I was proud to be a city fan. Only one thing. This is a tough learning curve. We need to put away glaring chances. May be on niges mind tomorrow.

Thought Deeney had just signed a 4year contract with Twatford??

We lacked raw pace today, until Vardy came on. Schlupp & Mahrez are fast, but not fast enough.

Bit more pace & maybe a CB bit worried if we get an injury or suspension in defence, like we have done in midfield.
