Mad Dog Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 I didn't notice that Burnley snagged him. That's a shame. Would have been good cover for us, I wonder why we weren't in?
STUHILL Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 I didn't notice that Burnley snagged him. That's a shame. Would have been good cover for us, I wonder why we weren't in? I think he was ok in the championship but not good enough for the Premiership (yet)
Brooksy Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 I didn't notice that Burnley snagged him. That's a shame. Would have been good cover for us, I wonder why we weren't in? Because he's shite.
ScouseFox Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 He's maybe about 15/20 times worse than wasyl. and wasyl is our back up. keane would barely be good enough to be the back up to our back up.
Cevno Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 He was excellent playing RB 2nd half of last season at Blackburn too. All blackburn fans wanting him back. Didn't he keep Moore out of the team last time he was here ?

Didn't he keep Moore out of the team last time he was here ? I think he came with a lot of hype and promise so we put him ahead of other defenders and although I remember him being OK here, he hasn't progressed at all since and still just an average championship defender in my opinion. Still young though so could change but Moore over him all day long!

Still young though so could change but Moore over him all day long! His progress has stalled a bit last season due to Moyes and then a bad loan at Derby where they kept him benched but i think he is ready for the Prem now. Chalobah and him are 2 good talents at Burnley from Chelsea and United.
Mad Dog Posted 3 September 2014 Author Posted 3 September 2014 Would think he'd be better backup to Was than any of our development squad at this level though. I know De Laet could possibly cover but I'd rather a specialist CB. Sure Pearson knows what he's doing, but it seems the one area we are lacking in cover at all and would have thought he'd jump at coming back.
Onions Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 We really taking about the same Michael Keane who Nugent and Vardy slaughtered last season. Aye the lads young and looks half decent but wake up, we have Liam Moore, who's already 5 times as good and improving
KFS Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 Great passer of the ball but a real pussy. Vardy smoked him when we played Derby.
Mad Dog Posted 3 September 2014 Author Posted 3 September 2014 Nobody in their right mind would say he's at Moore's level. That's not in debate. Is he better than Sesay, Kennedy? That was my line of thinking.
HitchinFox Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 Nobody in their right mind would say he's at Moore's level. That's not in debate. Is he better than Sesay, Kennedy? That was my line of thinking. Probably is better than our youth options. But he's not as good as Wasyl or Upton (when back fit). In other words, pointless to loan somebody to be fifth choice CB - no chance in hell in getting a game.
Simmo86 Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 His progress has stalled a bit last season due to Moyes and then a bad loan at Derby where they kept him benched but i think he is ready for the Prem now. Chalobah and him are 2 good talents at Burnley from Chelsea and United. Chalobah has done nothing since being at Watford and Keane is bang average Championship centre half.

This is bollocks. What is with our fans tendency to denounce all our former players as shit? Whilst I wouldn't take Keane over Wasyl, he really isn't that far away. He was fantastic for us during his loan spell and doesn't need to be shouted down as shit just because we have come on leaps and bounds since then.
weller54 Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 He's maybe about 15/20 times worse than wasyl. and wasyl is our back up. keane would barely be good enough to be the back up to our back up. That comment will get his back up!!
Dickov22 Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 He was excellent during his loan spell here I thought. A real Rolls Royce of a defender. Great on the ball, good in the air and still so young. I'd have him over Wasyl any day. His spell here coincided with a terrible run of form for us, he can't be blamed for that. I can see him going onto good things
Fox92 Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 Because he's shite. Bit harsh. It was his first ever season in professional football when he played here, and it was straight in at the deep end. He played when everybody else didn't perform, which coincided with our poor run of form. I like Keane. Hope he goes on to do well in the game.
Guest NGoloMode Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 I'm convinced that our run of bad form in the season we lost to Watford was because he was put into the side, not entirely his fault but a large part. Thats just me though I think.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 Isn't there a rule about having only one loanee from each club? So with Powell we couldn't have loaned Keane anyway.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFKdYmLgcdM That is all.
Kitchandro Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 He's fvcking crap, what are some of you on? He was excellent playing RB 2nd half of last season at Blackburn too. All blackburn fans wanting him back. Didn't he keep Moore out of the team last time he was here ? Moore has come on leaps and bounds since that season and Keane hasn't.
Fox92 Posted 3 September 2014 Posted 3 September 2014 Moore has come on leaps and bounds since that season and Keane hasn't. Probably because Moore plays first team football every week.
