blue blood Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 What a game, I have no voice today. The Leo song needs changing in my opinion, saying he cost a fortune when playing against a team with players worth 20/30/40 million makes us sound silly (like I say just my opinion). I got home after the game and was smiling from ear to ear, the Mrs asked did they win? Me "yep 5-3" her "really?" Im still in shock. It wasn't a foul by vardy prior to the pen it's shoulder on shoulder. Then Rafiel barges into the back of vardy, foul all day. I don't think any team will be taking us lightly after this, the season just got alot harder I fear. No need to fear, If we will get more respect it means we are playing well. If we want to continue to get better we will have to learn to deal with the attention and still get results. It just means we have to think like a team others fear. Also other teams will fear us.
Pub breath Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Leeds fan here, just wanted to say.....THAT WAS WONDERFUL Cheers.

Haydos Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/leicester/lcff/lcff_20140921-1700a.mp3 This is why I'm fine with Stringer, he has some great moments! "Jamie Vardy, you're in on goal son..." Pretty emotional listening to that as well, still can't believe it!
Mapperleyfox Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 All those cold Tuesday nights watching Barry Hayles and Jason Jarrett capitulate against the likes of Barnsley and thinking 'why do i bother?' Years of utter garbage with no light at the end of the tunnel. Yesterday was why i keep coming back, cos maybe, someday, you get to witness a game like that. Incredible and i've been going since 1982, and that's the best i've seen. Better than Cambridge 5-0, better than Swindon at Wembley even. Never heard the stadium so loud and our new ground needed an iconic game to match those at Filbo. That was one to tell your grandkids about folks...
Kitchandro Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Other than on FIFA 'Well Alan, you must have some deep insight into today's opposite" 'We always thought they preferred Rugby'. Yeh, I'm not a fan.
Raj Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I've always deemed myself relatively fit and healthy but i cant believe so many of us nearly had health issues yday!!! I dont really wanna see a game like that again as i want to see my kids grow up!!! P.s Your city is blue,Just like Leicester your city is blue was a great off the cuff chant... We do have a good array of songs at home to be fair...Just need to swap the family end for the kop!!!

Stringer has his flaws but fair play to the bloke he doesnt half show some passion. FrankieADZ thx for posting this up

My thoughts exactly It's been hard over the years telling my kids 'this is Leicester - this IS your team'. So many journeys up the A6(from Bedford) telling them that one day we'll be back and you'll have a team to be proud of. Their face's yesterday after the game has made it all worthwhile:-)
kingcarr21 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 61 Mins: Leicester 1-3 Man United 83 Mins: Leicester 5-3 Man United
Jordan Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/sep/22/louis-van-gaal-tactics-leicester-nigel-pearson While this article does well to highlight how Vardy abused Man U's exposed wingbacks and Ulloa's superiority against their center backs in physical battles, it was a shame he didn't highlight David Nugent's role. Nugent mostly played as an inside forward with a defensive role, and he was all over Blind like a wet blanket. The combination of that, and the deep-lying midfielders in the 4-3-3 to handle Rooney at the other end of the diamond, just wreaked havoc on the Man U midfield in the 2nd half, causing them to lose possession (notably at times when their wing backs were caught playing high).
Raj Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 at Filbo too after the game giving the remaining manure fans abit of banter!!
st albans fox Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 According to the LCFC.COM match report stats, we had 3 shots on target ....................................... clearly pens arent shots ?????

I think that was an inspired move asking Nuge to mark Blind. He is their first outlet in defence and cutting their line to him made it harder for them to control the midfield. With us playing on the break I think it was more about us forcing their hand than trying to mark him out the game, it meant that they had to play higher up or play more risky passes forward. Might rewatch it and focus on that.

Might rewatch it and focus on that. I think you're bang on, and Pearson alluded to it after the game. He said something along the lines of not necessarily needing to win the ball off their defensive players, put putting enough pressure on them to 'alter the quality of the pass' and possibly win the 2nd 3rd, 4th ball etc. Can't wait to reply the full 90 again tonight.

Pretty emotional listening to that as well, still can't believe it! Now imagine that with Alan Young saying it. Youngy would have graced this day with such passion and such love for the club that non of us could have voiced it better. Just so sad he was not there on Radio Leicester to have done the commentary for this game. Because he deserved to have been commentating. ps he was right about Knockert.

Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Absolutely unreal! I'll be on a high all week... Never known scenes (at home) like when Cambiasso scored the third. Bodies everywhere in SK1, utter carnage! Best home game since we moved from Filbo by a country mile. I was there for the Sunderland 5-2 game & today even surpasses that when you take into consideration the sheer drama and who we were playing. Couldn't care less about the United fans' whinging tbh. Whether or not Rafael on Vardy was a penalty, the net result was that they were still 3-2 up with half an hour left and 11 vs 11 on the pitch. We went on to score another 3 times. They didn't. Can't blame Clattenburg for that.

The comments on there need a Captain Scarlett gif. Something special.
