VLC86 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 alan smith was and is class on and off the pitch.. Other than on FIFA 'Well Alan, you must have some deep insight into today's opposite"
kingcarr21 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Well what can i say. I certainly didnt expect that when we were 3-1 down. My view of the game. 1st half Overall we played well but there attacking players looked good. Falcao made De Laet look silly for the 1st goal I think almost every Leicester fan applauded Di Maria's goal. I dont believe the whole ball crossed the line for Ulloas goal. De Laet really struggled 1st half, Cambiasso looked composed on the ball. 2nd half Herrera with a great flick for the 3rd man u goal. At this point i thought we could be on the end of a mauling simply down to there attacking power. Thought the Vardy shoulder barge decision was right during the game but watching replays think its safe to say it should of been a Free Kick to Man U. Clattenberg had a decent game overall but he got that wrong (not that im complaining) Great for Nuge to get on score sheet. Thorougly deserves his goal. The whole stadium erupted when Cambiasso scored. He was a true leader and a top professional. De Laet was simply awesome 2nd half. His ball to Vardy was perfect and what composure from Vardy. Didnt panic and took his goal with ease. Vardy made Blackett look a right tool for the 2nd penalty. Ulloa with a great strike. Think for me it was one of the best matches ive ever seen. Dont think i have ever seen such a shocking Defence come to our ground and that wasnt just for the last half hour but all game. Man U fans are going mad on red Cafe blaming Clattenberg for the collapse for the soft penalty. Im sorry but Man U lost because there defence is a joke. QPR sat back and got spanked so clearly the way to beat Man U was to expose there weak defence and out score them. I couldnt be more proud of the team and Pearson got it spot on again. Listening to all the reports and talksport this morning was a joy to behold. Finally people are taking notice of us. Well Done YOU MIGHTY FOXES
Chairman of the Bored Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Just want to say I think Drinkwater and James are better than anything Man Utd have in midfield. Sweet irony.
Drew_The_Fox Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Foxes never quit. Epic game, from being worried about their attacking movement and hoping to keep the score line respectable at 1-3, to having tears of joy at the team spirit at 3-3, to laughing like a lunatic at 4-3 and feeling 10ft tall at 5-3. Best day as a Leicester fan I can remember, more proud of being a foxes fan than usual!!!
Guest bennytwohats Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Just want to say I think Drinkwater and James are better than anything Man Utd have in midfield. Sweet irony. Di Maria is a truly world class player. Thought he was excellent for them tbh. We played really well yesterday, and they defended badly - but let's not get ahead of ourselves - their squad on paper is phenomenal. Even those defenders if you put them in a lower team alongside some experience (with less expectation) would look a lot better. Look at the way Moore has been bedded in, learning from Wes and last season had to compete with Was too. Blackett hasn't had that kind of introduction and has been thrown right in at the deep end - it's not the way to do it, especially for a CB. But make no mistake, that doesn't make him a shit player. IMO that's what makes yesterday such a great result. That we beat a team including Di Maria, Falcao, RVP, Herrera, Mata, Blind, De Gea etc - it's a phenomenal achievement and testament to the team. But yeah, saying James/Drinkwater are better than Di Maria, Rooney, Herrera, Blind etc is laughable. And I say that with total respect and praise for James/Drinkwater.
Leicesterpool Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Haha had this weird dream yesterday that Leicester were 1-3 down to Man Utd with 28 minutes to go and then come back to win 5-3! Then I go onto BBC Sport to realise it wasn't a dream! Yesterday was just so unbelievable!
Socks Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 According to their fans it was Clattenburg vs Utd Not our great comeback performance http://www.redcafe.net/threads/leicester-clattenburg-vs-united-postmatch.396812/ vvankers
The Doctor Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I love how bitter every man utd fan seems to be - still insisting that the first was out, the second was a dive and the 5th was a foul on Blackett - pathetic, just accept you were outclassed boys
foxfanazer Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I'll give them the first penalty although I still think it's naive defending. The first goal and the second penalty is embarrassing though that they can complain about them
PAPA LAZAROU Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Just like to add I thought we the city fans were absolutely great. The whole ground was rocking and it made me laugh when watching the game afterwards that the TV camera's were rocking to ! The commentator remarked on it and it must have looked good to all the neutrals watching as well. The commentator also mentioned the Leonardo song though he inserted " yes he cost a flaming fortune " instead of our more Anglo Saxon use of the copulating word. Been and brought every newspaper today to keep for ever just to remind me of the best match I have ever witnessed as a city fan , and i'm going back to the early sixties. Our fan base in Thailand will go through the roof after this with mass burning of Man united shirts and the buying of the mighty fox's .
Leicester_Numan Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I'll give them the first penalty although I still think it's naive defending. The first goal and the second penalty is embarrassing though that they can complain about themIf Rafael had done what Blackett did so well on a number of occasions, get between the player and the ball, plant his feet and shepherd it out of play, Vardy would have been the one bouncing off him. It wasn't just naive, the push on Vardy was stupid and petulant.Their fans should be putting the blame on him, not Vardy or Clattenburg. Fact is they were 3-2 up and should have seen it out comfortably.
lee7 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 At the start of the game I was tempted to record the match but decided against doing so because on previous occasions we have got absolutely smashed whenever I have recorded us. Now I regret not recording the match majorly!!!!! What an idiot.
purpleronnie Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I dreamt we beat Man Utd 5-3 last night, must have eaten too much cheese.
Mark_w Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I think almost every Leicester fan applauded Di Maria's goal. I didn't.
Raw Dykes Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 At the start of the game I was tempted to record the match but decided against doing so because on previous occasions we have got absolutely smashed whenever I have recorded us. Don't worry about it! http://livefootballvideo.com/fullmatch/england/premier-league/leicester-city-vs-manchester-united Anyone know if there'll be a DVD?
kingcarr21 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 HE LEFT COS YOUR SHIT HE LEFT COS YOUR SHITTTTT TOM CLEVERLEY HE LEFT CAUSE YOUR SHIT
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 What a game, I have no voice today. The Leo song needs changing in my opinion, saying he cost a fortune when playing against a team with players worth 20/30/40 million makes us sound silly (like I say just my opinion). I got home after the game and was smiling from ear to ear, the Mrs asked did they win? Me "yep 5-3" her "really?" Im still in shock. It wasn't a foul by vardy prior to the pen it's shoulder on shoulder. Then Rafiel barges into the back of vardy, foul all day. I don't think any team will be taking us lightly after this, the season just got alot harder I fear.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 He's been hilarious on Twitter since our promotion.
The Doctor Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I'll give them the first penalty although I still think it's naive defending. The first goal and the second penalty is embarrassing though that they can complain about them Aye, I've seen challenges like Vardys been give as fouls, but there's an argument it was just outmuscling Rafael and Rafael was naive in the way he dealt with the long ball. Barge into the back is a foul, Vardys challenge can go either way. The second penalty complaints are ridiculously pathetic its not a foul by any stretch of the imagination
