First time since the Collymore debut when we put 5 past Sunderland has Leicester been the lead news story re football down under! It is a fvckin great day to be Lesta!
cjslcfc Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Just can't stop watching the highlights and Cambiasso's goal, just his reaction and celebration. Like it really meant something, real, raw emotion. Special. Would anyone have imagined this picture when playing MK Dons opening day in league1? Esteban Fvcking Cambiasso plays for us! Still can't believe it
mikj92 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Still getting goosebumps thinking about that win today. Wish I could have been back in the UK for this one (Haven't met any other fans in Tennessee). What were we chanting today at the final whistle? I couldn't make it out.
Filbert_Ross Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Missed being there due to being on holiday, can only imagine what it was like being there cus shutting the non Manc voices up in this Santoini bar was unbelievable.
ozleicester Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Here's a united fan verdict "only" Leicester. You will learn.
maxwelld_ Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I'm loving this "its only leicester mentality" teams have for us atm. The longer teams keep under estimating is the better I say !
Lookatthebluesky Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Only got out of hospital on Saturday lunchtime following hip surgery but made it to the KP for Sunday (albeit rather slowly). Just an incredible game and the atmosphere during the second half was immense. One of the best days that I can ever remember to be a supporter of LCFC and so proud of the fact that two of my sons were sitting next to me in the Kop sharing the experience as fellow supporters. United have some real re-building to do and I'm not convinced by their current 'Galacticos' policy (although Di Maria looks like he'd get into our squad). I've been jumping up and down so much during and after the game that I'll need to return to hopsital next week to get the other hip done. What a day!
Crinklyfox Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Sunday morning and I'm still smiling. City have a winning mentality. Even at two goals down and the Man Utd attack coming up with some class moves it was obvious that they hadn't lost heart or belief. There are a few PL teams that would have gone into damage limitation mode but not City. They never gave up, kept their belief and ripped into Man Utd. The result will keep me smiling for a long time to come. Even if we have reverses in future games, the fact that we have that result in the locker means that we should keep the belief that we can not only survive, but establish ourselves in the PL. One last comment - a very good mate of mine is a lifelong Man Utd fan, straight after the match he congratulated City on their great performance, no excuses, just credit where its due.

theessexfox Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Woke up and yep, I'm still in dreamland. Leicester City 5-3 Man United. Memories.
Biggus Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Best match stats so far this season. First time the opposition has less than 60% of possession. Other stats just about equal. Amazing game. LCFC are improving and really are more than capable at this level.
chewenhua Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 epic performance from Leicester I just made this meme, hope u guys like it
VLC86 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 epic performance from Leicester I just made this meme, hope u guys like it Could have been Robin Van Versie, Wayne Vooney or Angel Di Varia.... Nope, equally as shit.
fazzyfox Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 "Good morning newsagent, thanks for responding to my banging on your door, one copy of each please plus a scrap book and a pritt stick."
Biggus Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Some decent analysis (i.e. not Manure biased) out there: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/premier-league/11111712/Leicester-City-5-Manchester-United-3-Esteban-Cambiasso-scores-on-home-debut-as-Foxes-fight-back-to-stun-Van-Gaal.html (and a brilliantly worded URL!)
Guest ttfn Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Could have been Robin Van Versie, Wayne Vooney or Angel Di Varia.... Nope, equally as shit. I am absolutely livid that Dean Maria hasn't taken off yet.
VLC86 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 "Good morning newsagent, thanks for responding to my banging on your door, one copy of each please plus a scrap book and a pritt stick." I bet the top shelf is bare!
Leicester_Numan Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 United 'fans' really let themselves down badly yesterday. They were directing some disgraceful abuse at Balotelli and Vardy on Twitter. Balotelli got the worst kind of racist abuse just for tweeting Man Utd . The police are investigating it and serves them right. Vardy was getting crap like f***ing cheat, pikey, hope you get ebola and die, hope you do your acl and end up in a wheelchair etc etc. How is it Vardy's fault if Rafael bounces off him like a featherweight wimp from a shoulder to shoulder challenge and Rafael then barges him in the back inside the box? They can't seriously complain about the second penalty, blatant penalty and sending off all day long. Vardy tore them a new one yesterday and they just couldn't handle it. I know their younger fans know nothing but victories and trophies but they need to learn some class in defeat, it's going to happen again with their defence.
Steven Posted 22 September 2014 Author Posted 22 September 2014 Yes, this was special alright. Anyone like me with an allegiance to the Foxes could not fail to be proud of the team’s achievement. I was there - three words to wear as a badge of honour. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/columnists/alansmith/11112350/My-record-has-gone-and-I-could-not-be-more-pleased-for-my-old-club-Leicester-City-after-beating-Manchester-United.html
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Sorry if this has been mentioned already but has anyone got the highlights of Stringer's commentary from yesterday?
Merging Cultures Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Just managed to watch the full game (don't ask!). We played so well! I thought the first half must have been shocking, but no! We played well both halves. The 2nd was just mind blowing! Nugent and Vardy running their socks of creating space, and creating chances for Ulloa. Brilliant. All three. Cambiasso managing the team, gave Rooney no time to do anything. Drinky looked good. Really pleased with how he fits in the middle three. Hammond, quietly went about business, which I think is perfect. It gives the other players the opportunity to do their jobs. MOORE!!! Wow! Threw himself at everything. Morgan was absolutely a rock as always. Konch looked like an absolute pro! Especially when Rafael fell in front of the linesman. The look he gave him was like a father gives his son when he is embarrassed for him. RDL, I think he got more support in the second half, which I think was needed, and at which point he was great charging forward. Kasper did well, I think any keeper would have had a hard time against those attackers. Great substitutions by Nige to keep us moving forward. What a manager. Can't say enough. Big shoot out to Schlupp especially who must be the most versatile player ever. His pace coming on to attack a tired team looked great. We are Premier league!

Merchant_Banker Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 It was clear Pearson had a plan from the start, playing three strikers was a declaration of intent. Best form of defence is attack.
