2015 Election season ..........stuff it in here.

If he wants UKIP to be as big he says, he needs to broaden his topics, eventually everyone will get bored of him saying the same thing and they'll be gone again. I expected more politics from him tonight!

This is a gradual process. He's the right man for now but the wrong man long term. Pre debate the second biggest concern regarding the NHS for the electorate (29%) was health tourism. Farrage is no mug (though like Boris he is disarmingly presented as such) and is simply trying to get their foot in the door.

I agree on Cameron, at best he was 4th I'd say. Was always going to be tough for him as has been said. Held his ground well, but no way nr a winner!

Having watched that, I'm voting ukip. Agree or disagree with farage, he's not worried about bringing contentious issues out into the open. Which imo is how you solve problems.

Bringing them out in the open doesn't solve them lol.

There's no way Cameron can win, the others can offer empty promises, he won't get praise for what he has done but will get vilified for all that may have gone wrong. You can see why he won't have s one to one with Miliwank

Absolutely I'm agreeing with all of that.

Milband no way looks like a man capable of leading this country, sadly I think it's going to be another win for the tories. Farage as made some good points and seems the right man to turn this country round, however I just don't think UKIP are strong enough to beat the tories.

Another thing to mention is I think tonight Farage was doing very well, until he mentioned about the HIV business I just don't think that was necessary.

Douglas Carswell is the long term leader of ukip. The reason why he defected I think.

Miliband has probably done well with floating voters again. Probably not well enough to make too much difference yet.

I think you may be correct. Depending on the ourcome of this election we may see schisms open in the Conservative party over europe as well as Farage failing in Thanet opens the door for a more moderate Carswell.

More worringly for us soppy lefties is the lack of a credible alternative (if Johnson won't run) to Ed.

Is this YouGov poll the official one the bookies are paying out on? If so Mr Coral owes me £70 of his English pounds.

As an aside I thought Sturgeon and Miliband were 1 & 2, Clegg, Cameron in mid table, Farage 5th and the two women at the bottom of the pile. The Farage thing is ludicrous, okay there are some things that immigration is a key problem, but he uses the argument for everything wrong with Britain which is fundamentally wrong.

The tories need to take on board some of Farages points imo.

In the end there's no clear winners though, the vote will be even more divisive with noone claiming an outright majority. Even forming a coalition could be tricky.

Just shout bigot, racist or accuse us of scaremongering.

Why change the habit of a lifetime.

Farage brought every issue back to immigration, which completely ignoreds the benefits of immigration. Such as getting millions of old whinging gits to retire in Spain.

If that's your best spin tonight was a disaster for Ed.

The man can't lose. Sturgeon's success increases his chances of forming a coalition with Lib Dems and SNP, it weakens Cameron's.

He can.

He doesn't want a coalition in reality. If Labour ever want a majority again he needs Scotland voting Labour, not knowing they can vote SNP and still get even more pro Scottish left wing Labour.

Not to mention what it will do to the Labour's English vote long term.

Serious lack of Alfs musings in this thread tonight!

He gets pissed on Thursdays! We'll hear from him tomorrow.

He could literally kill labour in England and Scotland in under two years.
