Charl91 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Do not like. It's like we have a random player/formation generator, that gets used before every match. Edit: Bring back knocky pls People is very idiot.
benpicko Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Like it. Vardy and Nugent are great together. King's great in that position. James and Drinkwater back together. Was to elbow somebody on his premiership debut
Guest Bilo Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Really not sure about the wisdom of this team selection. I'd have dropped Nugent and De Laet for starters.
sphericalfox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I thought Knocky was supposed to have played quite well in the under 21s recently? I'm surprised he's not at least on the bench.
Bettsj2 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I like this. would have preferred to see Simpson but in reality, you cannot really change 2 of the back 4 straight away. Its the right thing to di taking Liam out. He's a young guy that has been very naive the last couple of games so needs a break. Certainly looks a more energetic line up in the attacking 3rd with Nuge, Vardy and King. Very much encouraged and very much looking forward to hopefully having a formation that clicks!!
Crinklyfox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 After the last four results, all of which were due in part to several players underperforming, NP had to make changes. I'm surprised at the team selection today, especially as I can't see where the goals are going to come from. Nugent/Vardy worked well enough in the Championship and this may be NP's trial of the partnership in the Prem. I would have preferred to see Mahrez on the pitch though.

Edit: Bring back knocky pls People is very idiot. No, it's like he's just checked Foxestalk before the match. Can remember multiple people picking teams practically exactly the same as this
lgfualol Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Really not happy with that. This will hopefully bite me in the arse but that is pretty shitty. I love that King has been added. But Nugent? De Laet? Drinkwater? James? I don't think any of them deserve to play. Knockaert, Mahrez, Ulloa on the bench? Nigel if we lose you're going to be in a shitstorm.
Legend_in_blue Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=y6fVqWHrqjM Pretty much sums up the diamond. I'd assume De Laet will bomb forward to give width - perhaps why Simpson doesn't start. Positive team selection, should have used this against Swansea. Far better imo.
Captain... Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Let's judge after the game, Nigel has his reasons and if we win he will get a good old rimming on here for his tactical genius, and if we lose he will rightly get panned for it.
Richard Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Hammond on the bench because Cambiasso most likely won't play the full 90 and Hammond is the only other DM we have. Would have liked more wide options on the bench if the diamond isn't working.
kingfox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 If we struggle in this formation he will revert to 4-4-2, bring on Mahrez & shove Vardy out wide. Only one winger in the squad in Mahrez, no Schlupp, Knockaert or Albrighton. We will see, but if we lose then the pressure will be really on Nigel.
HitchinFox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Excellent. Hammond's not on. Looking forward to us playing some football!
Bamba's Babes Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Hopefully we can get our passing game going, both drinky and cambiasso have a great eye for dropping balls behind their back line....thats the balls mr Vardy loves For Nugent to.. miss them.
The Doctor Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Looks pretty good tbh - Same as the man utd game with king in for ulloa and Nugent moved up to the top?
Mark Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Last week - start all the strikers, anywhere will do. This week - start all the midfielders, anywhere will do.
Bamba's Babes Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 If this game goes tits up then for the first time in a long time I will question Nigel's thinking. It's a big risk.
The Doctor Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 For Nugent to.. miss them. Yeah, because it's not like it'll be Jamie Vardy, the striker that lives on those sort of balls, getting on the end of it... Honestly you sound more and more like a tool each week
Legend_in_blue Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Why the negativity? Hammond isn't starting. There's one positive straight away.
lgfualol Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Poor Knockaert. I was really rooting for him to be back in the team, or at least make the bench. edit. Must be disillusioning for him, working as hard as he can and he can't even make the bench - whilst players that have made 0.01% impact are on the pitch.
