ousefox Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 Kasper De Laet Wasyl Morgan Konch Knocky Drinkwater James Mahrez Nugent (unless NP fancies playing Powell here) Ulloa If we set up with 5 in midfield Kasper Simpson Wasyl Morgan Konch James Cambiasso Drinkwater Knockaert Mahrez Vardy
lgfualol Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 After finally stopping my annoyance at last Saturday I would like/have to play: Kasper Simpson Morgan Wasyl (elbow) Konch Cambiasso King. James (set pieces) Mahrez (the best) Schlupp (dat pace) Vardy (pace) Sub. Smith, Moore, Drinky, Ulloa, Wood, Knockaert, Hammond/Albrighton Go for a 2-2 pls
Ricey Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 Kasper Simpson - Wasyl - Morgan - Konchesky Cambiasso Drinkwater James Powell Vardy - Ulloa Not keen on the diamond, but for consistency sake and the fact it allows Vardy and Ulloa to start, plus the added protection of Cambiasso, I'd give it a go on Saturday. Having Powell in there, instead of King, will at least give us a bit more creativity. Against West Brom we had 4 central midfielders who pass it sideways or back, it was never going to work. If we are behind in the second half, take a Cambiasso or James off for Mahrez and revert to 4-4-2.
cjslcfc Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 I'd like to see us set up for the counter attack and actually have some width! We managed to play with 2 in CM against a lot of good sides when we put the work rate in. Does anyone know how S'ton play? Do they play with wingers? Schmeichel De Laet Wasilweski Morgan Schlupp (sigh, but we need that pace) Albrighton Drinkwater James Mahrez Vardy (will drop in when we don't have the ball and put them under pressure) Ulloa Subs: Smith, Powell, Knockaert, Nugent, King, Cambiasso, Moore Predicted 1-1 as I think being the underdog suits us but that is a very optimistic prediction. They are probably far too good for us.

Exposes the full backs to 2 v 1 situations against the Tadic/Bertrand and Mane/Clyne. 2 Central strikers yet the ball never coming in from wide (unless RDL/Simpson and Konchesky peg back the Saints wide men which isnt happening away). Reverting to a straight 4-4-2 would just see us playing in straight lines and put us a body light in midfield. Just my opinion
Banks Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 Kasper Simpson Moore Morgan Schlupp Knockaert James King Mahrez Ulloa Vardy agree with this.
Silverdaz Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 I swear now, if Nugent starts this game, I have lost complete faith in the selection process... We need to start playing with flair, as much as I admire and respect Nugent, his role this game is reduced to rubble. Feed Vardy more through balls please, let him link with Mahrez too, stop separating them. This pair will cut formations up!!! Vardy and Mahrez arent that good (yet) to tear anyone up, I would have Nugent instead of Vardy (because how many chances does Vardy need to score he has missed a fair few this season)
Raw Dykes Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 I'm just hoping for a decent performance and a fairly respectable looking score. Not expecting any points from this one.
jmono84 Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 Kasper Simpson/RDL Wes Was Schluup Drinkwater James Mahrez Powell knockaert Vardy/Ulloa Pacey hard working team that!!
Tommy G Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 If Nugent starts then I will personally ring up my GP and see if they will give Pearson a once over, he's cant be right in the head
Blue Ed Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 Schlupp in for King, Ulloa in for Nuge. 3 holding. park the bus and use Vardy and Schlupp's pace to feed Ulloa Schmeichel De Laet - Morgan - Wasilewski - Konchesky James - Drinky - Cambo- Schlupp Vardy Ulloa
cjslcfc Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 Wasn't the last time we played these on TV? We won 2-0 with goals from Nugent and Matt Mills I remember the Mills goal, St. Ledger skinned someone on the left and put the cross in for Mills to head it home. CB to CB

chris_lcfc_85 Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 Regardless of team/formation, how some people wont start Mahrez is beyond me! The guy is HANDS DOWN the most creative player we have
Blue Ed Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 Regardless of team/formation, how some people wont start Mahrez is beyond me! The guy is HANDS DOWN the most creative player we have I agree with you, I wouldn't start him though against Southampton our full backs need cover more than we need creativity.
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 I agree with you, I wouldn't start him though against Southampton our full backs need cover more than we need creativity. Play him in the hole then behind Vardy or Ulloa.......
cjslcfc Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 Thought SSL was playing RB that day, I do remember Mills celebrating like he loved the club, I thought it was a turning point for him... ...not for the first time I was wrong. Just watched it on Foxes Player. Ball comes to SSL on left hand side after a corner. He fakes it, takes it past the man on the left hand side after corner and chips it in with his left foot for Mills to bullet header it home. Yeah Mills did the old "pat the badge" celebration. Nuge got some right stick from the S'ton fans and was doing his usual grin when he scored.
Blue Ed Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 Play him in the hole then behind Vardy or Ulloa....... That's an option, give him more freedom and play just ulloa up front.
Ric Flair Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 I think we'll win this game 3-2. We'll go 2 nil up inside 20 minutes and then they'll get one back before half time. We'll get a 3rd after about 57 minutes and then they'll reduce it again and the final 15 minutes will be agony. I'd go with Schmeichel Simpson Wasilweski Morgan Konchesky Mahrez Cambiasso James Drinkwater Powell Ulloa
