GingerrrFox Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 For Aston Villa: 1) Play Schlupp at left back 2) Play Albrighton on the right and switch Mahrez to the left 3) Get Matt Upson in next to Wasilewski (Who has been one of our best performers since he replaced Moore in the side)
Dr The Singh Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 1. Sign me for a 20 year Contract at £150k a match, with clauses that ensure i'm guarenteed to be a very very rich, if I never kick a ball 2. Don't play me ever 3. Get some decent beer in the turnstiles
Cruss5 Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 1. Practise set pieces (they have been terrible this year) 2. Let Ulloa play as a striker and not keep appearing on the wing to help out 3. Stop the players running down blind alleys then lose the ball to be hit on the break Maybe having a few long shots wouldn't go a miss
Beliall Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 play hamer play 4-4-2 tell the boys to keep trying and not to worry
kingfox Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 1.Give Simpson & Albrighton a bloody chance 2.Sign either Dempsey or Defoe on loan 3.Get in Premier League experience to partner Wes
Guy Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 1, Drop players that make the same mistakes game after game. 2, Buy some quality defenders in Jan. 3, Buy a new keeper to challenge kasper. We have Hamer who was immense against Stoke away - he should have perhaps been retained as Kasper has been inconsistent this season.
justfoxes Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 1-Replace KASPER with Ben Hamer make him fight for his place back as it seem he's far too complacent/comfortable being first choice ! 2-Give Powell a run out can't be as worse as some 3-Bring in our talented youngsters who will be hungry to impress where as some of the first team are just not doing the business at the moment 3A-STOP THIS FOOKING ROTTY SLUMP STARTING SUNDAY AT VILLA PARK !!
KentyLCFC Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 what about changing 1 and 3 to sack pearson and to get rid of de laet because he is ****ing shite worse then konchesky Sacking Pearson will get us nowhere. Also de laet had a great game yesterday tracking sterling and keeping him reasonably quiet all afternoon, as of konchesky he was shite worse than de laet by far, he gave the ball away numerous times and he cant attack/cross for sh**. its about time we brought a new left back or played schluup there to be honest.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 What would I do? Dunno What will I do? 1. Support the manager 2. Support the team 3. Get every bit of enjoyment from this season I can 1. Support the manager 2. Support the team 3. Enjoy this season as much as possible JINX!
Donut Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 1) Id go pragmatic. Id stop telling players to do things that they weren't comfortable doing. Id keep a consistent style, a more rigid structure to the team where every single player had a role to play and knew exactly what that role was, rather than confusing them with more and more new tactical set ups. Id accept the limitations of the team and look to go right back to basics, whether that meant the entertainment value had to suffer or not wouldnt bother me right now. 2) Id look to turn the negativity around the team into a positive. Id create an underdog, siege mentality in the squad, id use it to our advantage and id throw the gauntlet down to the players to prove people wrong. Prove the critics wrong. Tell them to go and play without pressure, no one fancies us today but ourselves. Id try and create a dogged, fighting spirit type style in the mood where players wouldnt be afraid to put a boot in, close down quickly, pick up a card or two if necessary, but be damn ugly to play against. 3) Id look to bring in a couple of smart additions to the squad if possible, either a striker or versatile wide man would be a priority, but it would be someone id make sure either had something to offer if we did go down, or someone we wouldnt be lumbered with. I wouldnt turn us into the next QPR with players on 90k a week out on loan.
Xen Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 1. Ditch zonal marking (1b - Get a big bugger to shore up defence) 2. Play Simpson at RB (with RDL possibly up to RW, Mahrez on left for counter attacking, or Mahrez/Knocky and Albrighton for games where we might have more of the ball) 3. *Significant* investment in Jan. Better target man than Ulloa, better LB than Konchesky/Schlupp etc... I'd also like to see some of our younger players coming through. Powell *needs* to make more appearances - pointless loan otherwise - and our U21s seem to be doing pretty alright for themselves - surely by now one or two of them can step up (Barmby/Hopper etc?)
cjslcfc Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 1) Concentrate on key signings in Jan, priorities being a striker and a winger. We need more quality. 2) Concentrate more on set pieces in training (if we don't already), it's a great chance to score and we look so panicked defending them. 3) Drop Kasper. In my opinion he needs a break to reflect on his own play as he doesn't seem to be trying to improve his command of the box. Hamer had an OK game vs. Stoke and it could give Kasper the kick up the arse he needs.
The Blue Moon Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 1) Drop Kasper 2) Sell Kasper 3) Switch the family stand and the kop around
Tommoran Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 1, Start Simpson instead of De Laet 2, Drop Kasper for Hamer 3, Play th three centre halfs and wing backs and put balls in the box.
Brown Fox Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Get james as far away from set pieces as possible. Swap Simpson and de laet Buy a new striker and winger
Grewks Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 1. Attempt to educate the fans with regards to how to support a football team. 2. Try to build a side based on hard work with young talented players who clearly have a future in the premier league. Spend relatively little and achieve a debt-free set of financial results as a result of the success of the side. Continue to actually care about the club, not spend endless amounts, but invest in both facilities and the future playing staff of the club. 3. Resign - The above are impossible/ or simply not wanted.
Grewks Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Get james as far away from set pieces as possible. Swap Simpson and de laet Buy a new striker and winger Great idea! Let's swap the guy who had Raheem Sterling silent for 98 minutes....and replace him with a guy who has played less than 45 mins for the club. De laet is a very good defender, but he is only human and like all other full backs isn't capable of marking two men....if mahrez doesn't defend zabaleta would look shit there.

To be honest he did have a decent game yesterday I'll give you that no qualms but overall this season he has been very poor. I just reckon Simpson would bring a bit more solidity to our defence that we are lacking so much. I'm not particularly sure why we've paid £2million if we're never going to play him.

There would be nothing simpson, de laet, zabaleta, alves etc could do differently if they were marking two men every game... Just think about it. If during training you have 2 forwards and 1 defender, how often would you expect the forwards win? 95% at the very least. For me De laet has been great this season, the fact simpson hasn't been anywhere near the squad doesn't suggest differently.
VLC86 Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Reckon the defence could be alright with two decent fullbacks. Plus a couple of new centre backs and a keeper. I'm optimistic about this one.
harpendenfox Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Buy Virgil van Dijk, Celtic's 23 year old 6 foot 4 inch Dutch centre back. 4 million should do it
LCFCCKEANO Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 1) New commanding cb to keep us organised2)Big strong and slightly quick cdm, Kouyate style(Both 1 and 2 so we can sit deep and contain with 2 cdms and a cam and then counter attack)3)New full backs and a winger so we can get forward quick out wide and get balls in for ulloa
GorlestonFox Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Swap the kop and family stand. Ban away fans Blame Wellens
Clever Fox Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Upson and Moore Bring Simpson in and move Delaet up to RM Play 2 wingers Albrighton on right Mahrez on left. Ulloa up top.
