Cevno Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 that's why both of them are jobless! http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/98169-powell-is-offski/#entry3215177 Coyle played a important role in bringing likes of Wilshere and Sturride along btw.
Dan Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Sir Alex called him a certainty to make it at United along with Januzaj and also labelled him as a successor to Scholes kind of also his detached attitude. Ask crewe fans or Dario gradii about him also. That's pretty much all clubs he's been at and all managers he's worked with. Fergie's not been right every time. It's pretty obvious he had the talent but even more obvious that he'll never make the most of it. I fully trust Pearson on this one.

Didn't Sir Alex also say Phil Jones would become one of United's greatest ever players?!
Jace Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 The last 2 young English players we took on loan with such promising potential was Harry Kane and Michael Johnson
Harry - LCFC Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Optimistic when he signed but he's shown very little in his limited time on the pitch. I often find there's a reason why players don't get picked under Pearson and I'm sure sending him back is the right decision.
EnglishOxide Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 I thought it was an odd signing at the time he came in. He has shown nothing to me beforehand that suggested he was as good as our other attacking mids (Knockaert, Mahrez, King). Not often Pearson makes a bad signing but it was only on loan, no harm done.
Guest MattP Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Sir Alex called him a certainty to make it at United along with Januzaj and also labelled him as a successor to Scholes kind of also his detached attitude. Sir Alex also said Bebe could be the next Ronaldo...
MooseBreath Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 He'll go down in the history books. Literally. Right near the bottom.
ADK Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 You can tell he's talented but if he has an attitude problem then it's a bit of a waste.
Kitchandro Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 TBH I was surprised we even looked at him in the first place. Everyone says he's a little shit with a crap attitude, very strange that Pearson signed him.
Bettsj2 Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 TBH I was surprised we even looked at him in the first place. Everyone says he's a little shit with a crap attitude, very strange that Pearson signed him. Especially when at the time it was said that we've been monitoring him for a while and had tried to sign him before. I guess we can just discount him completely from now on.
Dan Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 TBH I was surprised we even looked at him in the first place. Everyone says he's a little shit with a crap attitude, very strange that Pearson signed him. It's not really done us much harm though. We've had a look and didn't fancy him. I don't think there's any more to it than that. It frees up the space for someone better in his position. A real chance here to bring in a quality number 10.
Jace Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Still a contender for player of the season unfortunately
J.Lisemore Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 I'm still unsure if he's even that good. Obviously the attitude isn't helping but I cant help but think he's another over-hyped English youngster.
Tommy G Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Had a fantastic loan spell here and I am gutted he's going back to man Utd
Guest Col city fan Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Bit of a shame this one. I was looking forward to seeing whether he could be good for us. Oh well, we move on
Dickov22 Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 If it's down to his attitude then he's a real prat because he quite clearly has a lot of ability.
dkws Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 I can only speak as a Crewe fan who watched him at League Two level. He can dominate a game - at that level. I watched him a few times for United's under 21s: he was a dominant, powerful presence, and every bit as influential as Januzaj. He has a 'cocky' air about him, but is a hard worker on the pitch, and amongst forwards I'd seen over the years at Crewe, he was easily the best at tackling back and retrieving the ball. Leicester fans haven't seen this; I can only think that Nigel Pearson doesn't rate what he's seen, and doesn't consider him 'right' for a struggle in the Premiership. One thing's for sure, the lad needs football games, somewhere.
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Are you watching Inckleyfox, are you watching Inckleyfox.
VLC86 Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Aren't we only allowed 2 loans from other prem teams? We need to strengthen with key, first name on the team sheet type players which Powell clearly isn't therefore sending him back frees up a space. Bit of a shame this one. I was looking forward to seeing whether he could be good for us. Oh well, we move on Do you want a tissue Col?
