Tuna Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Waste of space, another Ravel Morrison but less talented.
phildw Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Another decent player Pearson couldn't handle falls by the wayside.
StanSP Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Another decent player Pearson couldn't handle falls by the wayside. The 'decent' player has a shite attitude and didn't fulfil his decency for us. What point in keeping him? Not everything is Pearson's fault ffs
Rasmic123 Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 it's a simple case of him being english and scoring a few 25 yard goals and thus getting hyped by the media. i saw him in league 2 for crewe and thought he wasnt anything special, definitely not premiership quality and never will be. crewe and wigan fans dont rate him which i think speaks volumes. glad he's buggered off
Jace Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 We've seen before what happens when we have talented players at the club with a bad attitude, best getting rid
Banks Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Waste of space, another Ravel Morrison but less talented. Morrison has more talent in his little toe than Powell has.
LCCFox96 Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Clearly a talented player but needs to sort his attitude out. Can't help but feel we haven't maximised his potential after initial excitement about him signing on loan. Still we can't afford to be faffing around with players who aren't training well in our current situation. Its money off the wage bill (I assume we were contributing something) and frees up a space in the squad. Lets use that to our advantage in the January window.

We can't maximise a player's potential if he doesn't want to do that himself. The club can only do so much and I feel he's wasted his chance here as much as we've wasted our time with him.
gazfox9 Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 If true a massive waste of talent. Highlights the problems of young players being millionaires though and therefore lacking the motivation to succeed.
funkyrobot Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 He was out on the pitch training with the non sub squad before the Spurs game with Moore, albrighton, wood and even GTF ! He seemed happy enough. Moore looked pissed off but Powell didn't look like someone who'd been told the news that the telegraph had reported.

Its just disappointing to see a talented young player waste his chance by not training hard. Too much, too young.
Grewks Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 We've seen before what happens when we have talented players at the club with a bad attitude, best getting rid Who are these then? The only young talented players we have had within the past 10 years...we have kept. King, mahrez, schlupp, moore etc..... Who did we get rid of apart from gradel...who I would like to add, has gone on to do absolutely nothing.

Isn't that part of the problem though, content while not even making the squad.
Captain... Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 He was an embarrassment when he came on against Man City, glad he's going back frees up a place in the squad for someone who adds something.
Harry - LCFC Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Another decent player Pearson couldn't handle falls by the wayside. Hilarious Such an obvious attempt to get at the manager. Do you honestly expect people to blame Pearson for the personality of someone else?
Bamba's Babes Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Loan spell summed up by the emoticon he tweeted on transfer deadline day...
BlueJoe Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Hilarious Such an obvious attempt to get at the manager. Do you honestly expect people to blame Pearson for the personality of someone else? Isn't really surprising? Well within his right to take any pop he can muster with the run of form we are on! When Fergie spoke so highly of him I don't happen to believe this 'another bad attitude' excuse! He has dropped training with Rooney, Van Persie and Falcao three of the top 20 strikers in the world (arguably top ten) to coming off the bench to see out another loss? If I was him I would rather be training with them each day than stuck in Leicester with Nugent and Vardy. Maybe he doesn't have an attitude problem, may he doesn't want to play for us and can you blame him at the moment!
VLC86 Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Another decent player Pearson couldn't handle falls by the wayside. Bring back Matty Mills isn't it, Warnock in!
lgfualol Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Loan spell summed up by the emoticon he tweeted on transfer deadline day... Exactly. The guy couldn't give a toss.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Who did we get rid of apart from gradel...who I would like to add, has gone on to do absolutely nothing. Well, he's not done badly - St. Etienne are hovering about France's Champions League qualification spots and he's played in a World Cup as well as the Europa League; perhaps a little better than he'd have managed if he'd have stayed here?
Nalis Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Isn't that part of the problem though, content while not even making the squad. I guess there's a fine line / balancing act involved really.
The Guvnor Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Who know's what problems this kid may have outside football but I would have sweat blood to be in his position when I was his age
