Claridge Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 The Mercury is saying that the owners got some abuse from fans at the Liverpool game.anyone hear what was said ?
Raj Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 I heard it was "F*** off and Thai" Seriously anyone who abuses the owners will have General Smuts to deal with. BUT really seriously anyone who abuses the owners is very very idiot.
Monsell1976 Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 The Mercury is saying that the owners got some abuse from fans at the Liverpool game.anyone hear what was said ?Old news, but still unwarranted and undeserved. The owners have invested over 100 million of their money to secure the clubs future. They are not responsible for the results on the pitch directly, and we are lacking in quality in many area's, but cannot see lack of investment being the reason. I cannot see the owners invest the massive amount of money to get us to the premier league, and go public with their 3 year plan, and then tell the manager he has no money to spend. This is not going to be popular on here, but in my opinion, and it is just an opinion, they trusted the manager to employ the players, the manager believe will keep us up this season, and the manager rightly or wrongly gave to much faith in the quality of the players already here, and has brought in players that haven't improved the overall quality of the squad. We have a very good championship side, struggling in the premier league, but have every faith that the owners will give the manager the funds to improve us in January, though it will not be easy to get players in, especially if we are still bottom.
Dan Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 Wigan have been linked with Chris Wood so I assume it was Dave Whelan.
Fox92 Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 Not just the Mercury either, Nige said this in his press conference yesterday.
Guest Col city fan Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 Anyone who abuses our owners is a baloonhead. This...we really do have some scumbag fans....I still wonder whether anyone sitting in the block where plonkers where giving Pearson abuse, told them to shut up? Any of the FT forum members?
Matt Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 This...we really do have some scumbag fans....I still wonder whether anyone sitting in the block where plonkers where giving Pearson abuse, told them to shut up? Any of the FT forum members? You can't really tell alot from the Vine's or couple of YouTube videos that have been about but I do sense people were cheering and applauding when NP said what he said on Tuesday.
Foxes1 Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 I heard it was from the executive boxes, probably the one game a season wonders who turn up now and again.
LCFC Rennie Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 Wigan have been linked with Chris Wood so I assume it was Dave Whelan. ****in' c*inks.
foxinsocks Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 WE have good owners - unlike other clubs, there isn't stuff leaking, they don't undermine - yes, we don't know what limits they set and that is for them to agree with Nigel (- it would undermine our negotiating stance if it were public). I sense that they will back Nigel and I believe that having him sort himself and the team out is the best way to go forward (no one is perfect and this is a big challenge). Yet we are not miles off the pace and while I am sure they would like to see results coming, they are not panicking. I admire them. Because this is hard it will be so sweet for all of us when the team succeed. We should applaud the owners and we should show our support for pearson. Pearson's comment shows he is human - if we had a manager who didn't care or who didn't have an ego then they wouldn't be trying so hard.... so let's get back to football.
deep blue Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 I hope that if our owners have to put up with abuse then they will support Pearson in his response to abusive "fans".

It's the **** of and die seems to have been accepted by many on here, but in the wider world I am sure it hasn't, and no matter how people dress it up, or justify he was provoked, it crossed so many lines. But back to the owners, anyone who has a go at them, either haven't been around the club since they arrived, or are just ungrateful about what they have given the club

The 'and die' bit was unacceptable. Of course, some will overlook this and probably laff it off. Personally, I thought it was simply wrong and inexcusable.
Carl the Llama Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 Has it been confirmed that that's what he said? You can't tell from the video.
Pearson Nigel Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 Yes it has been read and decided for 100% by sky Breaking News Eggs-sperts "what's that mate? ....I can't here you still......I meeting for a beer with me mate Ian string'em-up after the game.... You fancy telling me then? Chao for now" ; )
Monsell1976 Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 Has it been confirmed that that's what he said? You can't tell from the video.Unless you are trying not to hear it, the vine I have watched, yes he did

He has no emotional ties to the club. Whether sincere or not I believe he should have apologised, not necessarily to the individual, but for his actions in general.
pazzerfox Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 This is totally unacceptable, I don't know what goes through peoples heads sometimes. The minority can spoil it for others, the owners have been fantastic since they joined us and it's mindless idiots like this that can lead to them leaving us!
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 Spot on... The 'and die' bit was unacceptable. Of course, some will overlook this and probably laff it off. Personally, I thought it was simply wrong and inexcusable. Exactly. The "and die", was a bloody disgrace. It was the behaviour of an uncouth moron. The abuse directed at the Thais, was totally unjustified, as they have done everything right so far. One final word for Pearson, in the words of my old science teacher. "Get out, you lout!"(I will never forget those words, spoken some 52 years ago)

The minority can spoil it for others, the owners have been fantastic since they joined us and it's mindless idiots like this that can lead to them leaving us!That is the fear, it wouldn't be easy to go without taking a massive hit financially, but that's not to say they wouldn't, but they would have to sell, and not just walk away. The fear would be that they would sell to an idiot like at Cardiff, and they would want to change the identity of the club, and not have the ambition our owners do.
