hackneyfox Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 I'm convinced that 90% of the Pearson-out brigade are 50+. Always seem to post on Bentley's Roof or be the most miserable cvnts on the planet (something to do with growing up in the 70s?) Pearson must have shagged/headbutted all their wives or something the level of personal hatred the man seems to generate, even in success. Many of us are convinced that 90% of the Pearson lovers are under 50 and love him more than the club. Those of us who are more mature stopped having crushes years ago and are thus capable of taking a more realistic view of things.
Dickov22 Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 I'm all for Pearson staying if we ditch the appalling zonal marking method of 'defending' set plays, its takes an already poor defence and makes it that more awful. Surely on the laptops and data systems it's coming up red flagged as one of our areas most in need of attention. Is this Pearsons stubbornness/arrogance similar to Leveins 4-5-1 and nothing but philosophy? NIGEL PEARSON IS NOT ARROGANT. So fed up of reading this day after day on here, Twitter etc.

If you consider the Pearson out no matter what approach to be realism, then you have my sympathies, dementia is a horrible disease.
hackneyfox Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 NIGEL PEARSON IS NOT ARROGANT. So fed up of reading this day after day on here, Twitter etc. He certainly seems to believe that he knows best and reacts in an appalling manner when questioned (foad and telling fans not to turn up if they don't like it). Having said that managers should believe they know best.

Most of the younger lads have seen in our lifetime total horsecrap football which Nige changed. Most of us remember the O'Neill but being a supporter as a child is different to as an duly. Similarly during our lifetimes managerial changes have generally led to disaster.
zak_lcfc Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 People have a right to want him both sacked or kept, whichever side you take there are reasons for both! So we finally won a game against Hull, a team struggling like us, by some of the comments you'd think we just beat Chelsea away, it wasn't a great performance but it was 3 points, is this a corner turned? Nobody can say yet however Pearson winning a game doesn't make everything right again he still only got 5 points from 42, his lack of signings in the summer has been apparent throughout the season but even more evident now we are on the brink of losing two players, one of which many consider to be our best or at least most creative! It's easy people saying we need another win etc. but it's much easier said than done, Pearson has been lucky in that the rest of our 'relegation rivals' have been very poor this season and after no win in 13 we only found ourselves 6 points adrift! I still don't believe he is the right man for the job, I'll be happy to hold my hands up if he proves me wrong, but my judgement will not change unless: 1. He proves he's capable in the transfer marker 2. In January we pick up points in the games we are 'supposed' to Until then I don't see how people can complain at the 'Pearson out' lot, they have every reason to feel the way they do, managers in this league have been sacked for much less, it's easy to look in hindsight and say 'change is always bad/instability is bad' but if every owner always looked in hindsight no team would ever progress

Please do not say TP!
Monsell1976 Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 Who would be your choice for replacing NP? Please do not say TP!This is what does my head in with the Pearson faithful, Nigel Pearson is not the only manager out there.Pearson isn't going anywhere, many would have and should have been sacked with his points return this season, and a return of 2 out of 36 until the hull result, wasn't good enough, no matter what team you are, or what division your in. If people think another manager couldn't do as good as that if not better are blinded by their affection for Pearson. All the talk of age groups who want Pearson in or out is crap, 100 percent of city fans want us to do well, and I would say at present 60-40 in pearsons favour at present, no matter the age. And onto managers, pullis no thanks, but their is good managers out of work, but we could look at those in post, Benitez, experienced, don't know what he's like on a budget, but I should think a budget this season, if we stay up he would have a sizeable one. The lad at mk dons, if we wanted a talented young manager, and then without researching to find out who is out of work there are many, many options, so Pearson isn't the only manager who could move us on. In an ideal world Pearson starts getting results, as he is on a long expensive contract, which we really don't want to have to pay up, but 5 points out of 39 isn't very good at all, so let's hope after Liverpool he starts to put a battle against relegation up. I understand the younger generation have only seen success under Pearson, and I can understand that in the last 10 years we have seen some dire football and managers here, but that doesn't mean Pearson is the only manager to take us forward, and he may have taken us as far as he can, and just maybe we need someone to take us to the next level. Anyway, sorry not all the post is related to your post, but used yours as a starting point.
TomOliver_1990 Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 I don't think a change in manager will bring anything spectacular. The team aren't playing badly. It's just a case of us not being good enough regularly. I think NP deserves the transfer window to bring in the players he wants. He will know the squad needs strengthening and works will have been in place for weeks, if not months, in preparation for this transfer window. We also look at which managers are out there and willing to take on such a job and can instantly bring in big players who can keep us up. It's just not an option right now, so getting rid of him now would be criminal in my mind!
queensguardfox Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 Just imagine if we stayed up with NP ....... Wow....... FT will combust

Nothing gives me the confidence that we can get anyone decent in this window, Pearson is already making those noises, who wants to come to us in our position, probaly championship players. The summer window was the important one, this one has a bit of, after the horse as already bolted.

Kinowe Soorie Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 Lennon is the only name mentioned that would appease the general fan base. No one else from U.K. Foreign managers are too hit and miss at our level IMHO.

BigMicky Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 Absoloutly anyone with any real candidates apart from Tony Pulis, then please put them forward. I won't accept anyone without prem experience, I also won't accept managers who have been in charge of a team that has beeb relegated either... So come on draw up that list.........
C-man Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 EVERYBODY would be happy Simply not true. An element of our fans would still hate the bloke if he kept us up and won the FA Cup.

Hey...I am over 50+ , and how I read this forum, the Pearson out brigade is the under 40s.I cant be a miserable cvnt, cos posters like you keep me thoroughly entertained. My teenage years was the 70s, best music ,still loved to be played from the following generations.Being shagged or headbutted type of statement, just shows the low quality of anslyse and summarising instinct you possess ... Hate is usually associated with your witty generation, I grew out of it years ago. I remember the "admin years" I was the other side of the planet and it still hurt. I am a keep NP winkly , but wont deny the right of opinion to those who think he should go, if they put up good mature arguments. I just believe NP deserves/earnt the whole season, then is the time to look and assess the situ. Whether that maybe relegation or survival

So true.... in all honesty he can perhaps do better then Leicester if he keeps us up and people still slating him. I wouldn't blame Him for taking his back room staff as well as taking Mahrez, Camby, Vardy, Ulloa and Kasper with him. and say I told you so. The best manager we have had in years more stable then we have ever been and its still not good enough.... Rome wasn't built in a day, aslong as we are slowly growing in strength and can see we moving up im happy

Some of us are genuinely not that bothered! Far more important things in life to get worried about than how Nigel Pearson is doing as manager. I wouldn't have said that when I was 17 though..
Mark_w Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 I'm under 40 and spend my spare time arguing with strangers on an internet forum about another stranger's employment. I'm cool.
