Monsell1976 Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 Oh I see, you're thinking he's only started to recognise the fans now he's in trouble. Or maybe it's because fans' support becomes a more relevant question for interviewers as losing runs go on and on. Either way, there's no chance I'm wasting more time going back but I remember him praising the fans after Southampton and Newcastle away. Nothing to see, I'm not in social media, and watch sky sports post match interviews, and I cannot remember him saying before the Liverpool game, or even interviews after that, that the supporters were great, not saying he hasn't done it, but in the interviews I saw, no mention what's so ever.I don't know maybe I need to join Facebook or Twitter to read what he's said. I did read in the mercury a few of the players saying they appricate the vocal support though.
Bettsj2 Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 Is that the same Ryan Betts whose Dad used to manage Braunstone Trinity? Indeed. Ryan my cousin, Andy my Uncle.
Gary Eatfood Posted 30 December 2014 Posted 30 December 2014 Indeed. Ryan my cousin, Andy my Uncle. Ah, I played in Andy's team. Nice guy. Ryan wasn't there when I joined although I've played against him before.
Webbo Posted 31 December 2014 Posted 31 December 2014 Looks like Pulis is going to wba. According to the paper today he wasn't allowed to work until January the first as part of his severance package with Palace.
Jace Posted 31 December 2014 Posted 31 December 2014 Looks like Pulis is going to wba. According to the paper today he wasn't allowed to work until January the first as part of his severance package with Palace. Would explain why so many clubs have been holding back sacking their managers till now
Merging Cultures Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Another conversation with my old man. Me: We need to get quite a few players in during the Jan window. Dad: Let's agree we are already relegated. 90% of the way there. No one with experience or quality will want to play for us. We need to fire NP and being in Pullis. Me: but he wouldn't come either. Why risk his reputation? Dad: Give him a £2m survival bonus and he'll come. Me: But we are already relegated apparently. So he wouldn't get his bonus. Dad: [ignores the obvious flaw in his argument and talks about the weather]
ozleicester Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 I was going to start a new topic (coz there just arent enough Pearson in/out topics)... do the last two results (Hull and Pool) mean the NP is safe for the season?
Monsell1976 Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 I was going to start a new topic (coz there just arent enough Pearson in/out topics)... do the last two results (Hull and Pool) mean the NP is safe for the season?I would say he is in the owners eyes, but at the minute it's 2 good results, let's get some consistency before we start saying we are out of this rut.But with yesterday's performance there is some encouraging signs.
Stevosevic Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Pearson is staying regardless whether we go down or not.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Pearson is staying regardless whether we go down or not. I think (and hope) this is the case too
foxfanazer Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Pearson is staying regardless whether we go down or not. It's quite remarkable and refreshing to see owners of a football club completely backing their manager. Hopefully we've turned a bit of a corner now, we can't say the effort isn't there

Hopefully we've turned a bit of a corner now, we can't say the effort isn't thereagree, but have you all noticed in these few days, a couple of positive performances, we dont see/read all those negative posts, we start to be more positive and constructive, player, manager mobbing suddenly become less. The bad guys go back to their underground holes, the goodies enjoy the moment and realise life can be good, Match of the day becomes watchable. The vocabulary keeps within Oxford dictionary boundaries and Pablo and Col become bussom pals, and everyone loves Babylon.!!!

ScouseFox Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 if i wasn't a member on this forum i don't think him being sacked would ever have even crossed my mind. it seems it's barely even been thought of by our owners, either. great to see. 90% of fans, our owners and clearly our players are all right behind him.
Guest MattP Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Has anyone ever been so proud of a side bottom of the league? Yesterday was another incredible day. Love live Mr Pearson.
